  1. Heza didn't know how to post pictures on here so asked me to put them on for her. Here are some pictures of the dam and the litter. ATB with the sale

  3. Definitely go for the collie/grey. My uncle has had both types, and the beddy/whippet can very quite stubborn throughout the adolescent stage. However if your confident in training and the patient type, which I'm not, he said the beddy/whippet is worth it after it's gone through the sappling (teenager) stage. I would go for the collie/grey, seriously thinking of getting that cross for my next dog. ATB
  4. Can you post pictures of the sire and dam. How tall is the greyhound? Also pictures of the pups will really help
  5. Lovely photos. ATB with her
  6. That will be a nice dog for someone, very good price. ATB with rehoming her pal
  7. Stunners! Just looked at your previous thread to see the sire and dam. Have you decided which bitch your keeping? ATB
  8. Dogs are a credit to you, Leia also my favourite, nice looking bitch. ATB
  9. A few books I would recommend: Understanding the working lurcher & The House lurcher, by Jackie Drakeford The new complete lurcher & Rogues and running dogs, by David Brian Plummer Running dog maintenance, by Penny Taylor try and get a copy of Purdy's progress, some really good advice on training a dog, definitely worth buying. Best thing to do tbh is try and find someone local to take you out ferreting or just mooching with their dogs. All the best
  10. Really good write up, enjoyed that

  12. Brilliant, good news then. Thanks for all the replies, That sounds horrible, did your mate glue the bitch, not sure if I would ever feel that confident to do it myself

  14. Cheers Brian it's nice to have someone else's opinion
  15. Well the inevitable happened today. Holly had her first skin tear from barbed wire. Had no chance of seeing it, barbed wire along the ground completely covered with leaves in a wooded area. Anyway I have cleaned the area with saline solution and re-read the chapter in running dog maintenance on how to deal with these. From what I understand is should be OK to heal on it's self as it's just a small skin tear, taking 3 days to see a noticeable change and 7-10 days to start to heal and close up. Also that I need to bathe it daily with saline solution for a week then allow it to

  17. Waiting for mine too... However From what I saw in another post, some blokes copy has a mark on the front cover, it looks very well put together so worth the wait.

  20. Thanks for posting this, enjoyed it. Better than watching the rubbish on TV : )
  21. Thanks, Info use an SLR, i bought it second have of eBay for £250 6 years ago. It's a very basic Canon Rebel 300. I recond you could pick a second hand one up for around £100. I have never updated it, despite being tempted for new toys, as I bash it about when in the field, it gets covered in mud, dust and water and if it were a newer that cost more ££££££, I'd be worrying more about the camera than concentrating on the dogs. 15 is my fav Cheers for that I'll keep an eye out for one. My bridge camera just isn't man enough for the job. Shutter speed is too slow. ATB
