There is a breed standard for whippets Bitches is up to 18.5 inches dogs 20 inches and although some are larger they still have the characteristics of a whippet If there is any doubt of its true breeding eg hound init or bull or terrier or whatever it will be assesed by the commitee and if they say no its no its only fair as it is a Whippet club
