  1. Many thanks, I have quite a lengthy list of details, other people's experiences etc now, it's all worthwhile having! I am setting up a meeting with the Police to hand over all this information. If anyone else out there has had any similar dealings with these people please send me your contact details asap as a cumulative case would be beneficial. I have a retired lawyer in the family for advice, but if anyone on here is an active lawyer - fancy some work? Like I say - Steve & David Graham have my phone number and bank account details if they would like to contact me/return t
  2. Has anyone been through the small claims courts before? Doesn't look too difficult - especially on a clear cut case such as this - but some advice may be worthwhile. Just checking out the process - http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAndBenefits/ManagingDebt/Makingacourtclaimformoney/DG_195812 Looks like the costs can start escalating for the defendants! Claiming costs if you win As well as the amount you’re asking for you might be able to claim: any court fees you have paid up to £260 for legal advice for some claims loss of earnings for you and any witness (up to £50 a
  3. Apparently this was bought quite quickly in a face to face deal - can anyone confirm this (other than the seller) please?
  4. Just done some checking online myself - it does indeed sound like another empty promise...but I hope to be proved wrong.
  5. Just spoken to Steve who has said that he posted £300 cash via royal mail's "signed for" service yesterday Friday 29th April. Apparently there is no tracking number service. I must admit to still being wary - as Friday was the public holiday...weren't Post Offices shut? Can anyone confirm/deny this, and whether the "signed for" service has tracking numbers? I thought it did - as you can view the signature online...but I hope to be proved wrong. At the end of the day I'll simply be happy when the money is either in my hand or in my bank account. Until then I'm not getting my hope
  6. I just wanted to say that i have spoken to Davy who is going to help as much as possible. He sounded like a nice bloke, simply very frustrated that his trust and judge of character may have been misplaced. PLEASE put aside other issues that anyone may have had with Davy so that we can try to resolve this asap through the community. Lets not degrade this useful thread into a slagging match. Many thanks to Davy as well as everyone else trying to sort this matter. Cheers, Oly
  7. That would be great if they could!! Thanks for that info - webpage saved offline (so they can't edit it!) That's one of the phone numbers I have for his brother David Graham...remarkable coincidence?? MANY MANY thanks for all the responses and messages so far guys...greatly greatly appreciated, keep it coming, it all helps!!
  8. That sounds like the gun I didn't receive!! http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/200671-private-gungear-sales-potential-scam/page__p__2033849__fromsearch__1#entry2033849 Webpage saved.
  9. Many thanks for the support - it is a nightmare and makes all other honest sellers/buyers nervous to hear about such experiences. Obviously if someone is genuinely sorry for anything they have done, rectifies the situation fully - then in the fullness of time they should be allowed a second chance...but right now I just need this sorting out asap!
  10. Please be aware of my experience with this seller, this started on the 12th April and I still haven't seen my money or the rifle since! http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/200671-private-gungear-sales-potential-scam/page__gopid__2033875#entry2033875
  11. If anyone has any experiences please let me know!!
  12. I have been advised to write up my experiences with a Hunting Life forum member known as Hunter1989 (Steve Graham – previously banned from airgunforum http://www.airgunfor...nch-regd-3.html), his brother David Graham and an individual called Jamie “Jakes” (possibly Jamie Manton) – to forewarn others if they are thinking about doing any kind of purchasing/selling from these individuals. However, if anyone knows these people – I kindly request that you put pressure on them to return my money asap. My young family and I are not particularly well off, and I work hard for the money we can afford
  13. If anyone is interested and going to the British Shooting Show in Newark this Saturday, let me know and I can bring it along.
  14. Excellent write up there Pointer , real and 'to the point' (sorry couldn't resist !). Sorry to hear that your current situation isn't very dog friendly, and I wish you all the best when you do decide to move. Many thanks, Oly
  15. Thanks for the responses guys. I know what your saying, it's just that this breed or Britanny's fulfil so many of my criteria. I guess I want a dog that will do it all (but pointing primarily) but that will also be one of the family. My wife isn't keen on wirehaired dogs otherwise I may be looking at a GWP. Tricky. Pointer (or anyone else with any experience), how was your britanny and would you go down that route again?
  16. Just reading around and can't believe that this breed isn't more common in the UK, they sound great! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Small_Munsterlander
