SHARPSHOOTER! replied to scotty2306's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
LOL............ If a dog doesn't posses stamina, just like speed, no amount of work will improve it that much. Yes, hard work will get a dog to its running weight, fitness levels but hopefully everyone who runs a dog has their dog to this level before the season starts.... Heard it all now.You cant improve a dogs stamina with hard work. sigh........ OK, I'll explain as if your a retard, see if that helps..... Usain Bolt, fastest man on the planet, at the peak of his fitness, agreed? Do you think he'd win a marathon?.... Now think about it before you jump in..... He is at p -

advocate anyone using it
SHARPSHOOTER! replied to kevin from bristol's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
Hi, Hannah I am also a bit of a medical or whats best for the dogs freek . lol I use advocate only for the simple purpose of lung and heart worm, I use The Royal Veterinary College Bearsden (simply due to previouse SEVERE PROBLEMS in the past) and they advised that advocate is a good allrounder with proper fur / hair examination . But admited that you will be hard pushed to find a product on the market that will beat Frontline and Drontal for worms ,ticks and fleas , but sadly Advocate does some but not all, but still is the only one to be affective against heart and lung worm !!!! Most can -

At last some one who can read or actually takes it in, instead of going in 1 end and out the other because some one has an opinion which you don't like, you see red mist and start ranting total bollocks . No ones knocking the dog just the image it portrays. Especially with youngsters..

Hi, Never seen the need to introduce Bull blood to the strain of a lurcher, although there is not a true lurcher ,I like to think the Collie cross is the true ( LURCHER )ie, all rounder day and night. If you want to add such things to a lurcher you just attract attention ie, (DEVIL DOGS) As I think you would agree, this is seen more and more in every day papers.!!Again my opinion. Christ !!!!! (excuse the phrase) I was out a walk the other day (Also with a few others from the site) and saw some youngsters out with there TYSON'S and REX'S ,(bad boy dogs) and so on, there dogs were ch

SHARPSHOOTER! replied to Ditch Walker's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
Hi, May I say there is always bickering around these sort of events ....FACT.... So why entertain these bandits ?? I understand they get under peoples skin ,but don't rise to what is known to be unsubstantiated nonsense.... TOM, is nothing more than a true gent and if wee all had the consideration and love and desire this man has for field sports in general, as a whole not just holding a gun . What people perceive field sports to be as a whole would benefit greatly. THIS IS ALSO (FACT) AS I'M SURE ALL PEOPLE WHO KNOW HIM WOULD AGREE!!! -
Hi, In my expecience most fault's with dogs breath are either a result of tooth or gum problem . Not that this may be the case of you dog but is the case of most . ATB SS had tarter removed, and rotten teeth removed, so all clear there. Then possibly it may just be down to the dogs diet and age, as you say the dog is 6 so its abilities to chew bone and digest these sort of thing may now beyond it. Since teeth have been removed.(just a thought) There are loads of things on the market for there water and for them to chew , Never tried them so can't comment, but all th
