  1. dummy covers!!! I pull mine off so that they can pretty much slip over a dummy. There is always someone looking for them.
  2. Working a Weimaraner really depends on the sort of person you are and what you want from your dog. If you need an easy to train kennel dog ready by a year and don't want to reiterate your training then its not the dog for you as you do have to keep them in check and they need more time for growth and development. If you do the socialising from day one try and avoid them getting a kicking from another dog as pups and aren't too heavy to start on the obedience vs hunt exposure you'll end up with a nice dog, they have big hearts and will work their socks off for you. My bitch will catch at various points in her season pretty much from day one so we premate test to avoid problems keep my dog crated from day one (not the bitch as the dog can mount the crate and still mate her, shes a sod because if another bitch is in season it brings her in. Not worth the risk jolly to the vets if your worried.
  4. Prefer to work my dogs rather than shoot myself, have 3 Weimaraners, a Spaniel & a Cocker. Taken some time out to have a nipper whose now a year old so looking forward to next season.
  5. whats your bitches kc name?? Nice to see a working Weimaraner, lots of fun. Watch for MCTs they are common in Weims, had to have a lump on my bitch asperated a little while ago got the all clear. Nice pup
