  1. so satinnette x lutino will produce cinnys not 100 % sure but the young satinnette should be a hen and I would also bet any cinnys could be either sex
  2. you guys are doing it awe wrong and I'm right lol seriously though I suppose its not black and white and depends on the ground you hunt, roundabout me its mostly ditches, field boundarys/ hedges, small patches of whin etc so I suppose I've honed my methods to work with this type of ground
  3. not an expert but this is how much I know about sex linked mutations normal split cock x normal hen will produce normal cocks, split cocks, normal hens and visual hens, ie, any visual young such as lutino will be hens only from above pairing to produce visual offspring of both sexes the hen has to be visualy lutino etc to a visual or split cock as far as I am aware cinnamon, silver are also sex linked its beyond me however whats produced when more than one colour mutation are paired hope this helps
  4. this is where I have a problem with yapping, surely a yapper alerts the bunny thats sitting in a bush 30 ft further down the field and I'd expect any decent dog to know when somethings on without the need of a yapper, I suspect you guys miss alot

So I've been reading what people require from there bushing dogs and it seems most peoples idea of a bushing dog differ from mine, a dog that gives tongue, dives into cover etc doesn't seem to me the way to go about it, they must scare most of the quarry away before you get any where near. so without trying to cause an argument this is the way I go about " BUSHING " We're usualy a team of three, me the collie cur and the whippet.   8. Be interesting to see if colour feeding makes a difference fireman, I read you can influence the colour ( red or green ) depending what your feeding, worth a wee experiment, I reckon a silver with a red top would be very cool

  11. thats very kind mate and although I would like one or two mutations in the aviaries I'm going to concentrate on normals I think, you're more than welcome to take your pick from my birds though ps I'm slightly intrigued, do the silver cocks show any red on them
