  1. No mate thats just overspill from the finches I keep, I got a tin of felix for it, dug up some worms etc, I've reared a few starlings, blackys, crows etc before this one never made it unfortunately

  7. don,t rate that european finch, large percentage of its big canary seed, my Redpolls just wasted most of it, feeding mines versa laga wildseeds ( much smaller seed, £18 for 15kg from Applejacks ) mixed with what was left of the european along with wildfoods and greens

Rescued a young starling from one of the neighbours cats last night ( she must have over 10 ), apart from having its tail missing and a bit shocked it's ok, wasn't sure if it was feeding itself or not so force fed it last night and when i got back in from my work this morning I see the wifes got him well trained like myself eating out her hand the wife met the golfer Graham Mcdowell at the open a couple of days ago so we've called him Mick, hopefully he'll survive and once the feathers grow back I'll release him shake yer tail feathers Drink Father I'm hungry Maw
  9. what I'm collecting/ feeding at the moment grasses, milkthistle, prickly sowthistle, plantain, campion, dock lots of seed in campion heads
  10. Tomato and chilli plants are coming on braw, mackeral bashing, oot earlier with the mutts in the warm sunshine and lovely breeze, for I second i thought I was back in the Canaries, brilliant
