  6. ive ran in the heat with saluki crosses in the deserts of new mexico and the line bred saluk crosses , run better than the pures by far even tho there a few pures tha can do it ,a lot are not fast enough for a wily jack rabbit ,a qaurter to half is more than enough for any runnin dog ,unless you have plenty of space or lucky enoug to live in wide open spaces had the saluk types for 17 years and saw several run in this country and over by in the usa all the best Hi Whin,i have a friend near Baja California in Mexico and he has run what he calls cold blood greyhounds that are line bred
  7. can i ask the advantage of crossing a husky to a lurcher/sighthound?,huskys can be uncontrolable of the lead at the best of times and unbidable,and yes my friend does race them in a gig and does lurcher work to;
  8. Fanntastic to see those salukis coursing like that! The dessert hare or "erneb" is quite small around 4 - 4 1/2lb in weight.I would have to disagree with the point raised that a tight bred longdog would have mouthed it sooner as a running dog with a large proportion of greyhound would burn out in those conditions,
  9. What a doped up squared eyed little F*ck Pot,champion wrist flicker.
  10. i have a mate that lives on the edge of Thetford town and Munty's always go into peoples urban gardens at night so arent to popular with gardeners! The same thing has happened twice with my mate but his saluki made sure they didnt leave
  11. any pics?,be great to see anyone in the UK doing Boar/wild Pig hunting with dogs?
  12. I enjoy all types of running but Id have to say singlehanded hare coursing is to me the pinnacle ,I beleive the hare is our supreme athlete,and to see him given fair law and coursed by a good dog on big land in January is as good as it gets,a spectacle I never tire of,its exiting,dramatic,poetic,and aesthetically ,and emotinally fullfilling. i 100% agree mate!
