  1. Yes a while ago I had a 410 22rf comdination american made good little gun,but for some reason I didnt seem to use it enough,it had open sights, and was reasonably acurate, but it just seamed to sit in the cabinet so I traded it in,york guns seem to do them every now and then in different calibers great little summer keepers gun, mine was old with the threpenny bit barrel, hammer gun, wish I had kept it it would have looked good on wall, cant remember the maker
  2. Have you tried pro trapper for steves traps?I have just ordered ten from there, around here the farmers frown at £5 a mole, saying that some do,some dont they seem to want to pay around £3.50 to £4.50 but thats not viable somtimes with the travelling
  3. Can I ask if the Distemper effects, different animals like foxes dogs and such, would it not be possible to see a spike in reported cases in these, or can it not jump from one speicies to another, has anyone a friendly vet to ask,I would hate to think it was a towny fox that did my ferrets in,
  4. Thanks Malt will read intently tonight,
  5. God I hate to raise this subject, but I was told today that there has been a spate of distemper in ferrets down south, is it true? can anyone tell me, or is it just some T*T scare mongering I hope it is rubbish mind dont want that doing its rounds
  6. I agree with steve money tight, but seem to be a glut of moles this yr haveing to keep the boundrys of my bits well trapped, but one or two new customers coming from the farming side,
  7. No thats what they issue there stalkers, yours just needs to be a legal caliber,as far as I know,no one has ever frowned on me with my 6.5x55,which in fair is similar to 270 but alot sweater on shoulder two very well respected calibers
  8. Really good caliber get a moderator fitted to help cut the recoil, it will kill at the same range as anything else forestry use em,will do any legal game in this country, old very reliable caliber I got rid of mine and stuck with 6.5x55 but you can pick 270s up all over awesome stopping power
  9. You mean making a pit trap useing pipe into floor, not something I have done, not sure if thats legal now but then we use variations of it in say box traps for rabbits, its something to think about,
  10. Wash your hands in coal tar soap each day, make sure when you open cage put the soap in first let them bite it once they get the taste you will see them back off, always keep em well fed don't pussy with em when you pick em up be decisive and pick em up,don't flinch away quickly make sure your hands smell of the soap keep using the Barr each time you open the cage you should see some results after a week or so
  11. The new collars work on the old mk2 ,it still tracks them very well infact try it
  12. I just wish another company would develop a product to challenge to deben so the price would become more competetive, I think it is seriously over priced, I have a old mk 2 swear by it, I cant do with the two tone sounds of the new ones
  13. Them strikers are good,I have one and a scope mounted light force lamp, smart for rifleing foxes but this yr I seem to have used the old clulight more for some reason dont know why just handy carrying I suppose

  15. I think they are a working animal pure and simple yes they can be tamed, but you never get shut of the smell, they are comical little things, once saw one bite a bloke on neck he had it running up his chest giving it a cuddle, served him right, to some up great little working animals can be well tamed but there's always a wild side behind the eyes, doubt if I would totally trust em and I have been around them all my life,
