  1. I have fancied one that will for a while now, I recon that would be very handy, you could place it over certain runs, and it will ping you when the fox is on its way,
  2. I sold mine because, it wasn’t that good in wind, and I shot loads with it, ammo supply was unpredictable, anyway I replaced it with a 22 hornet and never looked back I love the caliber,
  3. Totally justified in a situation like that, and that’s where the problem lays proving it’s justified, but nowadays we all have mobile phones, with the ability to take video, it’s crap when farmers loose lambs all the time to what’s in my view idiots, then they turn around and play the victim,
  4. I would say very few of them have ever seen a man, Australia’s vast never ending supply of foxes, dream place to hunt,
  5. The right hand rod is that one of them Korum reels???
  6. ? oh dear I take it you wouldn’t buy one again then
  7. I know what you mean about finding a gun, but a lot of 410 are now multichoke and it seems 1/2 choke is sufficient for the slug
  8. Which one have you got wilf, I have been looking at them Korum barbel rods they are cheap and that is what makes me cautious, but they do the 1.75 and 2lb test curves
  9. I have dispatched animals for yr’s and have been asked this a fare few times, mostly road casualties you are right at close range a 410 is my preferred tool of choice, and nothing survives it, or a .22 rimfire is ample, the problem you have is when the animal has antlers, or you can’t get up close, when they are antlered it’s hard to cover there eyes, as in a jacket over it’s head, to quieten the animal, I know most are laid shocked up and to dispatch is easy, it’s not that I will choose to use a 410 slug as a first round of choice, but I believe it has its place, and to be frank I have seen p
  10. Human despatch, destruction of vermin, why would they grant 12 gauge slug, if not 410 ??
  11. I am just about to top my snare stock up, and would normally use a standard snare, I only buy decent stuff mind not the farm supplies special, but I have been looking at them ghost snares, and wondered what people thought of them, are they any good?? Any of you had issues with them ? They look easier to set with the wire tealer , and would save time when setting, are they worth a try is what I am asking
  12. I have the ugli stick, what kind of test curve 1lb / 2/lb any particular length, I have been told a barbel rod, but thought i would ask to find out what other people are using
  13. So what is the best rods for shrimping/ prawning
  14. I only have a 6.5 photon and in truth I now like it, it kills everything I put in the cross hairs, I am convinced a lot of the gear is over priced, it’s a mine field what to buy, I will stick with what I know,
  15. That purple whiskers looks good, I will be having ago myself this yr if this bloody lockdown ever ends
  16. The question has to be around there accuracy, a lot of American shooters seem cautious of there accuracy, it seems they do not like tight chokes, I think they are worth investigating, I am stuck, as in locked down, but I do intent to load some once I get the gear, I need to do it for my own piece of mind, I rang the gun shop up where I got my mossberg just before the lock down to ask about the steel shot scenario, as I had only bought it last yr brand new and it was full choked, obviously I will need to change that if we make in my view a stupid move to steel, especially with small bores, the
  17. I am putting them on mine this next yr, just trying to find a gun with 1/2 choke or so
  18. Have you ever loaded the slugs then SD,
  19. Have you patterned your loads, how do they compare with shop bought stuff,
  20. Thanks for that sausagedog I will have a good look at that website it looks very interesting, so what press do you use,
  21. If you could get a resizer then, could you not load them with a lee Loader as in a rifle press, ok I know you would never load a large amount, as you would have to weigh out your powder and shot manually, but all you would need is a set of dies, I did think of fire forming some brass shells for the 410 from 303 rounds,
