  1. B&F EVERY TIME! I'VE HAD OVER 500 DIGS WITH MY ORIGINAL SET(TWO NEW CASINGS FOR COLLAR) AND IT HAS NEVER FAILED ME AND NEVER NOT BEEN ABLE TO LOCATE TERRIER, I THINK THAT SUMS IT UP. 100% RELIABLE WHICH IS MORE THAN CAN BE SAID FOR ANYTHING DEBEN MAKE. JMO
  2. i know exactly how you feel mate.....pissed off! just like me i had a bit of a rant on here about a month back and the response was 50/50. i'd just looked at a post from some lads who'd been out and rifled a dozen charlies in one night i'd never disagree ther needs to be some culling done but there's always next season to consider. dug five foxes just the otherday but they certainly weren't all dead at the end of it, fighting fit in fact!!! shot a couple of oldish dog foxes and left the rest to run glad to hear i'm not the only one with these thoughts. cheers tallyho
  3. if you've got the space mate i'd put him away till next season, its not going to cost you much. get him out in the autumn and i'm sure you'll be able to make your own decision in a matter of minutes. all depends on time, space, amount of work available etc etc imo
  4. what fecking planet are you on!!! b&f every time
  5. It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.
  6. What i was getting at is what chance do the terrier, lurcher and hunting folks have when lads are trundling round at night wiping out whole areas of foxes. i don,t disagree that we need a few trimming up now and again and do plenty of lamping myself but i do think everybody deserves their sport. you can hunt or dig one dozens of times but you can only kill em once jmho.
  7. do many of you lads pay much attention to the firearms/shotgun section of this site? some of those feckers want their fingers trimming up! these wholesale slaughters they brag about will be the ruination of OUR sport. OPINIONS PLEASE
  8. HUNT THE FECKERS, YOU CAN ONLY KILL EM ONCE.
  9. Have you any pics mate can you still get ammo for those things?
  10. sorry mate but i have to disagree with you, my black dog thats half stobart bred is absolutely spot on! i'd have faith in him in the most testing of buries, he's been there done that and proven himself, i've been digging to him for the past 2 1/2 years( 18 months old when i got him ) and had well over 100 head of game with him. he might be an exception?? just my personal experience of this breeding
  11. Got a bitch with that blood in her .no reverse gear .Bred by a member on here got a dog thats half stobart breeding, 110% reliable. not a hard dog but always gets the result.

  15. Are you talking about Martin ? I think he paid that because the dog had won the puppy class at lowther, its normally about £350 a pup from midleton...I think I have 1, black n tan dog, i will try and get some pics up for ya later the puppy class at lowther !!! whoopee feckin doo !!! obviously that means it'll be a first rate worker then? money=bollocks
  16. b&f every time mate. i,ve had over five hundred digs to my set alone, its never failed me. 110% reliable!!
  17. He's Kye's dog so I'll let him fill in any details on the dog, but here's a photo..... hows this dog bred kye? looks similar to some stuff round me. cheers
  18. if you want to go hunting you get a pack of hounds/ if you want to go digging you get a terrier
  19. i personally dont give a fxxxk about hunt work most ive encountered are arrogant and ignorant and seem to think they own the countryside and all its foxes!! Christ ,if captain fuckup heard you say that around our way you'd be nailed to the pub door .LOL. Some time ago ,a tenant farmer who was fed up with a fox killing his chickens up and shot the bugger one morning .The hunt found out and the farmer had a sign put on his farm gate saying "this man shot a fox ".He was shunned in the pub for quite a long time after . Do know what you mean though mate .Some hunts are very welcoming and of
  20. there's no two ways about it,imo the professional hunt terriermens dogs see more work in one season than many dogs will ever see in their lifetime. but its very much horses for courses, some of the most useful hunt terriers wouldn't be given kennel space some places.
  21. ever considered it might just be russel/russel. who gives a f**k what its ears look like, as long as it works who cares.
  22. i,ve been using b&f for the past 16 months with over 250 digs to it last season. the previous season i had slightly less digs and munched my way through six deben collars and four boxes!!! says it all really, also no probs on small dogs, dig regularly to a tiny bitch with no probs. a good reliable, sturdy bit of kit well worth its money.
  23. just use a small pair of wire cutters and snip your staples in the centre and you should find them pretty easy to remove.
  24. greenham trading. bulldog fibreglass shafted, dogs bollocks. bout £45 each
