  4. just speaking from my experience as a hunt terrierman where we were hunting some bits of country fortnightly and if you used a dog to check pipes regularly they were tainted all the time, also as regards rodding nearly all our pipes had caps on chambers
  5. the worst thing you can do to an artificial earth is put a terrier in it, they're there to do a job, draining rods all the way imo
  6. the only pack doing this properly in uk is the fitzwilliam hunt at peterborough, they have a professional falconer and i think at least two golden eagles, the rest are just fu** abouters

  16. does anyone out there know where i can get some good heavyduty 6'+ fox nets? i'm sick to death of getting ripped off buying shit, some even turned up the other day with 1"keyrings on them, they weren't fit for ferreting! i'm looking for spun nylon (the wooly type stuff) nets at least 6 foot long (preferably longer) on 2inch sturdy rings with plenty of spare drawcord so i can double peg them. all help appreciated
  17. it's entirely horses for courses lads. this season i've accounted for 300 ish head of game with five of my dogs and three that the lads bring along, we have encounted every conceivable type of earth from artificials to drains to big spots(50+ holes) to deep spots(1 holers 10' +) to rabbit warrens, even had a good dig in a reduntant sewer complex.. what i'm getting at is that i didn't use the dog that will stay forever in the deep 50+ holer on the roadside, i used my non-stick old bitch that i know will give it half hour max then come off( we didn't want to dig this place because of t

  21. four pups to start, 2 dogs 2 bitches all 10 months at moment, i'm well happy with the 2 dogs they've grown well and seem to be game little buggers, the 2 bitches are slightly dissappointing not as strong as i would've liked. time will tell, we'll see whats left in the kennel by december?
  22. no mate i do mean domestos, sounds severe but i can assure you it isn't been using it for years and never had any problems with it. rubbed in with a damp sponge after you've cleaned off the wound it's perfect. thought exactly the same as you mate when i first saw it used by an old huntsman up north, but even administered it when i've had cuts on my own hands and it's not been a problem and does exactly what it says on the bottle"kills all known germs"
  23. get plenty of salt water on it mate or i sometimes use DOMESTOS, kills all known germs.
