January best time of year for me. this year old lurcher out of equation and my little foxing terrier has broke down. to top it off my new edition is lame. thought she’d just knocked herself up bushing like a maniac but on closer inspection she had a shard of glass in her pad on left back leg. she’s a beddy x mongrel . is there owt to treat it with except the obvious keep clean etc. nasty cut the inner looks like it’s ‘oozed ‘ out of pad. I’ve enough antibiotics etc etc to start a vet practice but not sure wether to leave it or treat it. ATB T

Had a bounce with the dogs yesterday. did a mile or two to be fair. we couldn’t find one in the ground but we did have a couple of decent runs. my old lurcher is tired now though. we carried her back to the pickup and laid her on back seat. shes 14 next spring. she was a half decent little fox bitch in her day and if she marked , there was one in ? shame they have to age so quick. Pic with my Daughter who’s now 15 ATB T

Had a day out today with the keeper where I beat with my spaniels. he’s gave me permission on a lot of land so today I felt a bit of pressure ? local hounds were there a few days ago so I wasn’t optimistic at all dog marked so dog in. he’s a big dogs and struggled to get on. inexperienced dog so not his fault . keeper was getting bored as they do. dropped the young bitch and she cracked up straight away. big dog came out of leaves but I was stood in way ? she didn’t show and vixen bolted this time into the net earth was say 20 yard f

Thanks mate ?

I’m happy mate shes a lot to learn but she’s doing fine 100% with stock now old Bullx can find well and the young cocker is 100% so it’s just a case of getting out and see what she’s got she hunts like fook which I’m told is the Bedlington in her. she looks like a hound so it maybe the hound that’s not in her ? either way she’s a pleasure ? Just my opinion for me get the pup as soon as it’s weaned. keep it with you when ever you can im self employed so as soon as they arrive they are with me. the best two terriers I’ve owned came at 5 week. terriers do mature quick and I knew that it was a couple of week early but they did everything I wanted and more. had a Bullx from 6 week and she was fine If you’ve Time to invest , work etc permitting sooner is better for me ATB Tony

Bitch is settling in well now after my initial regrets. recall is much better now and it looks like a different dog. food she’s getting must suit her better and she’s getting some muscle on her back even after just a few week. im starting to walk her through sheep now so ? ATB TonyT
