Hi Beagles, My Vennon Viper is the same. shoots more consistantly at 180 bar and seems to hold the charge. regards Tony
  11. Its very comon in staffs mate. My bitch has a bald patch on tail which Im told is somthing to do with scent glands. She is also bald behind the ears, but this usually clears up in summer when the sun is on her back. If its not mange I wouldnt worry about it. You could get it scaped and tested but unless its bad Id leave it. T
  12. Didnt see any rats? It looked like a rabbit hole to me. Nice looking dog mate

    hi

Alright Maaccy, Ferreting finished a month ago in west yorks where we live. However we were in the dales on Sun with the ferrets and dogs and didnt see any young uns or milky does.Cracking day out. The higher up you go the better IMO. Cheers T
  14. Dont worry mate............theyll be giving them away in summer!
  15. I like to see a terrier hunt, but lads I know just laugh. They keep the dogs coupled until theyve got a mark.Suppose Im an ameteur but its what I enjoy from my dogs. T whats "these so called terrier men" mean you make it sound cruel. i do it because i want to dictate where they enter, good digging dogs are hard to come by. bushing and ratting dogs are 2 a penny and not everyones into bushing, ratting and shooting to need that kind of dog. for ever reading lads lost terriers because they were off the lead then dropped in a place thats undiggable or they didnt have a collar on no d
  16. Alright Mussels, suppose it depends on what you want from your dog. its going to be quite a while before any pup works, even if like me you just do a bit of ratting / rabbitting etc. My pat is 2 years old and im picking up a pup this week T
  17. Dave Harcome goes on a bit, but its a good read. I prefer Dig Deep throw well back, cause its written so as to be easy reading and the stories happen recentley (ish) The book Hard workers the Real Terriers is also ok and interviews such as Jason Powell and Nick Stevens - might interest you if you like your black terriers. Im no expert mind T
  18. Sorry to hear about the ferret .theres an easy soultion "ferret finder" i know there a bit pricey and if you cant afford em use what i use shoe lace with ferret bell on it works but last sunday i was out and the jil didint seem herself she was taking ages to come back out and the bell filled with mud after a while so i was wundering why i couldnt hear her but she always comes back in the end ! Thats the daft thing mate. Ive got locator collars.I always use em.Obviously Im not as clever as I thought. T
  19. After going back a few times to see if my jill had come out, farmer pulled me up to say hed found it dead. It was her.looked a bit knocked up with blood around mouth, but that could have been a kicking doe. She was only very small so wouldnt take much stick. She was wet around head so dont know if a dog of fox maybe killed her. I wont be doing that again. T
  20. NO MATE..............I KNOW WHAT YOUR THINKING. I WASNT EXPECTING TO DIG FOR IT,WELL YOU COULDNT ANYWAY. I WONT BE DOING IT AGAIN. COLLAR ON AND ONLY PUT IN WHERE I CAN DIG EM OUT. THE AMOUNT OF TIMES IVE SAID THAT!?!? T
  21. LOST MY BEST LITTLE JILL YESTERDAY.WELL FAVOURITE ONE ANYWAY. WE WERE JUST BOLTING A FEW FROM ROCKS.JUST EXCERSISE FOR TERRIERS REALLY. I KNEW I SHOULDN'T HAVE DROPPED HER IN THERE! SHES NORMALLY STRAIGHT IN AND OUT.IF THEY DONT BOLT SHE JUST COMES OUT ANYWAY,AND HAS DONE FOR THE THREE SEASONS IVE TAKEN HER. IVE LEFT THE BOX THERE AND KEEP GOING BACK,BUT NOT LOOKING GOOD WHAT A PILLOCK! T
  22. A mate of mine used to have (prob still has) APBTs. He used the thick end of a pool qeue, not sure what wood it is but its very hard and good to work/shape. T
