    Dogs for jobs dont think any slur intended. keep spaniels myself but dont tip em in and break thro hrs later both work hard in their field

    I tried to get a russell a few yr back. tried all hunt terriermen I knew or mates of mates. mainly down south because they ‘seemed’ more popular. Couldnt buy one. Im a Yorkshireman btw. ended up gifted a crossbred bitch which is family I have now. hens teeth good russels. I know they exist but I wasnt worthy ATB T

    EC’ s later dogs were registered to sell pups his digging dogs were all shapes n sizes and Im told at one time they were very good. thats from someone in South wales who dug with him. that is not to say a registered dog cant work of course it can and should. ATB T

    Alot of big names did might have been 20, 30 yr ago but its there i reckon youve to be a serious breeder knocking litters out to get back to a level. AC did it ( some say ) and look at his legacy

    To all terriermen who are wrong side of 50, youll know the feeling when someone half your age jumps in to do abit. Fact of life I suppose. Some dogs must be same. It seems like last year i bred a litter trying to get a border/ lakey type. failed and got mongrels but wastage was low to be fair to em. took em out today and thought the bitch looks old and shes only 5 at christmas. Time flies but hell of a bitch that Ive spoilt abit on tough days.

    Very well bred but complete runt compared to siblings.. I wish Id half a dozen like her phenomenal bitch in cover and also very good on birds during shoot days control is easy…. She makes me look like ive trained her
