Ya its a bit senseless, Here when You 16 and have your gun licence you can buy all the cartradges you want as long as you have a licence, Although our system is F**ked up and a pain in the ass. Good work getting your gun and the best of luck with it, I got over 130 rabbits in 15 days using 7.5 clay cartradges and my trusty quad, Love shotgun shooting Atb Stephen

Thats Fare bad, I'm 16 and was able to purchase my own cz452 .17hmr silencer and lot at the local gun shop, put a request in for a licence after 3 1/2 months I got word that Im been granted it so I've to wait maby 2 more weeks and My shiney new .17hmr will be at home in my safe The law in Ireland is if you are 16 you can apply for a firearms licence which includes Shotgun, rifle or air rifle Then when you fill in all the details The cert is sent to Dublin and then back to your local Garda Supt. He/she is the 1 who either grants you the licence or dosent, Simple as , I wish Its painfull

Tought it might be of interest to some of you I dont know if the same offer is in northern Ireland or Great B. but just google Lidl or www.lidl.ie, www.lidl.co.uk and you will know. Ha thats excellent, I like the pic of the owl Great going, Stephen -
I have owned a .22lr for the last 4 years and its a great rifle for day to day shooting and handy for farmers as it kills all there pests, but always laked that extra bit of knock out power, Got a loan of a .22 mag for a week and it was unreal!! Was picking rabbits off at 140+ yards got a fox at about 80yards and it fell flat didnt stir. When wathching the neighbour shooting rabbits with the .22lr sometimes the rabbits dont drop straight away but jump around for a few seconds but with the .22mag When impact the fur the rabbits drop like logs. Dont stir afterwards. Personally I think the
