  1. Why do you need to wash it? not so much why, buy why not ferrets love water my daughter used to take ours in the shower with her, its bonkers watching them play under the spray, not too often as it will wash off the oil's in the fur Yes mine play in water particularly in hot weather when they have a tub with a couple of rocks in full of water, but I have never felt the need to wash them, and their coats are lovely and shiny especially at this time of year. I wasn't being funny and I have seen people do it who keep them in the house but then again I have seen kids who dress them u
  2. Full blown PS is hundreds of quid unless you pirate it, but as a good start photoshop elements is a good start and will do most things you need to do to adjust lighting, contrast, hue/saturation etc and sharpening. If you want to start using layers or make composite layers and images then the full edition gives you more. Not a lot of difference in price with where you buy them from but amazon sometimes do good bundles and offers when a newer version is about to come out. Take a look at Lightroom as well, or ask Kay about it, I think she uses it to good effect. Hope this helps and I am sure
  3. Even more scary for me, is that I am nearly 50
  4. Being born in the early 60,s I never got into the Who, in their early days but loved them in the late 70,s and on. Just seen on the news that they (Daltry and Townsend ) are still going strong in the US and are about to make it back here again. Not bad when you are in you late 60's!! Daltry of course has always been into his field sports and particularly his fly fishing! Great band and glad they are still here!
  5. isn't it funny how you build a picture in your mind of what other members look like...!! Should be a pictorial thread about it!!
  6. Nothing wrong with warm soapy water, that is what I use on mods that won't come apart like some of the full bore mods. With a rimfire though it may not be enough. Dry it off well, or stick it in the airing cupboard or on low in the oven. You can also use green scouring pad gently if you need to.
  7. Soak then in petrol. (In a safe place, not near naked flames etc) or buy some crud cutter. Don't worry to much as long as you get the thick stuff off and unburnt powder. I have the scirocco as well. After cleaning smear a small amount of coper grease around the edge of each baffle before re inserting, this will make it easier to remove next time. White or red silicone grease can also be used if you can get it.
  8. I think it is 40" but I may be wrong with this one. Sportingshooter will know. I know usually the barrel length has to be greater than 24, and that may still be the same with sec 1.
  9. At the point the op says he wants to kill foxes with one the thread gets removed. Until then have an open mind. If the op didn't understand before, I think he may well do now.
  10. I can't quite remember now, but in the back of my head I am thinking short barrels become section 1, but short overall length becomes section 5. I might be wrong though, I would have to look it up.
  11. I prefer to call it diplomatic To much bollocks around dogs tonight on here
  12. They can be used legally now mspingu Can they? How? Didn't think any lurcher or terrier was allowed to kill a fox. Thought they were for locating only to then be dispatched 'humanely' ??? I said they can be used legally now
  13. Why don't you just put down the reason you actually want one for. Not being funny but surely that's the easy way.
  14. Sounds like ferret nailed the dog
  15. Around here we only ever seem to see them in the oak woods.
  16. You don't actually seem interested in the dog, or any advice bud. There's more to rabbiting than just getting some bodies cast off lurcher. Most folk have an idea of exactly what they want. If they don't, they listen to advice. As to other members being cocky.......your going to go a long way on here I think.
  17. There are a lot of variable such as, how long are the nets, double knot or single not, how wide is the net, how much wastage at the beginning and end, are they shaped net or straight nets etc I usually get 10 -12 depending on what I am doing. Hope this gives you an idea.
  18. Again we are not seeing so many, it looked promising early season
  19. Nowt to do with Burns, but a funny rendition of a Scottish lament
  20. The main issue for me was that although it was wood, it was pretty heavy, so required driving almost to where the fox was walled in, and without a quad I was not realistically going to yomp one over the moor, when a terrier can walk in itself. By all accounts though they are pretty useful especially if you can set one up on a small crack in a cliff, where you wouldn't enter a terrier.
  21. Click on you name, top right hand corner of screen, click on the drop down arrow, and look for something like settings or edit profile. (cant see it on my phone) Click "Browse" for the picture you want to put on, and upload.
