  1. The trouble is it comes and goes like the wind and we even get small pockets of it but the surrounding populations are free of it. Months later the reverse. How would you actually define an area? A little bit like the dowse affecting Ash trees. At this moment they want to know of infected areas but eventually it will be all over, and then that info will be irrelevant.
  2. Lucky there!!! Rifles are dangerous things and people occasionally get killed by bolt locking lugs failing and the bolts blasting out rearwards. Any idea what caused the failure?

  4. I can only say how it is for me, but I have never had any problems with the douvre. They are comfortable, watertight and give great ankle support in the rocks and on the moors.
  5. Then the 140 is also a good lamp and also available with dimmer switch. Up to you the weight isn't much difference.
  6. I remember when "normal" was 23gram! I now shoot 21gram light, 24 gram normal and 28 gram heavy!! Aargh, how old am I getting. It's my passion for reloading mate, I load too many light loads I got tired!! Seriously, for the places i shoot 27 is the minimum acceptable coz pigeon fly high then 30 for rough shooting and 32-35 for geese! I am not lucky enough to have several permission and be able to choose the best one so, I need to make every shot count otherwise the missus I'm not knocking you at all, but at one time I had to do with 23 gram for everything, as the 20g

  8. In my opinion you don't even need a bipod with a .22 unless taking it back a bit, but yes any decent zoom like the bushnell, hawke, etc will do. You don't need a zoom over 9x either, a fixed 3 or 4x will suffice if that saves you pennies.
  9. Yea for the monarch I agree, but for the .22, I just have a Bushnell sportsman and that is more than adequate and cost about £60 I think. For me a .22 is a 50_70m rifle in usual field circumstances.
  10. Yea and not even a winch on the front
  11. Not after that programme last night they're not!!
  12. Its a cross between a giraffe and a hyena
  13. Depends what you want it for but for both rabbits and foxes I would defiantly say yes. It gives you much more control and won't spook as much at close distance. For fox lamping it gives the benefit of spotting at distance and turning down as it comes in. (For shooting that is)
