  1. I take it the two bits of wire sticking upwards, pull out when the anchor is set. If so what stops them doing a 180, and will they hold in soft soil do you think? Thanks for you time pal.

  7. Although I have made some in the past out of washers, to good effect, does anybody know of anywhere selling this style of ground anchor? It was the type sold by Protrapper . They just hold a little better in soft peat than the washer type, and I still have the setting bar. Thanks

  9. Sea beans, thats probably them, from the pictures I have seen of them
  10. Love it when we go up the west coast of scotland, but never find much except, buoys and lobster pots that have broken loose in the storms. There are meant to be some seeds that are the size of pebbles that get washed up quite a bit, and originate from the carribean, cant remember what they are called now. My parents still have a few glass floats, from nets, that they found washed up when they were kids.
  11. Just finding a club that does it these days. Not my cup of tea but each to their own. Not been on many clay shoots were it is the toffs and tweed brigade thing either........that must be a soft southern thing, along with a glass of shandy
  12. Rabbit, pigeons, dry food etc
  13. So meths does work then? yes mate, works no problem, and for some reason it doesnt even smell of meths or fox or anything once it has dried out. Just make sure the tail insnt scunched into a tiny jam jar, so the meths can get all around it. Normal size jam jar or honey jar will do it
  14. plenty of knowledgable air rifle guru's on here. Welcome.
  15. debone the tail, stick the brush in a jam jar, top up with meths, shake and leave for a few weeks. Take it out and air dry. Thats all there is to it and it does work. There is no need to wash the meths off.

  19. Not sure if the terrier box and ferret collars are going to work the same but you may also need.... ferrets, purse nets (unless only using dogs or guns), spade, probe?, carrying box for ferrets, knife, small torch? small folding saw? food and water for ferrets. couple of small long nets? Cage etc for ferrets to live. permission? possibly.. You dont need all the above, but it all comes in use at times!!
