  1. The other thing is... There are loads of times we rely on the lurchers....... If you know what I mean.
  2. My point exactly!! And yea like on here some like dogs some like shooting but the wise ones no the two can work together.......... But only if they communicate. MAny a keeper that don't like lurcherlads, will actually let them on at the right time and with permission, but that usually means those that help them out. We have plenty of lads with lurchers but they won't dare come on without permission because they know the consequences. Those that we don't know, then they get dealt with accordingly and within the protection of livestock legislation.
  3. See it on iplayer !!! i was gonna play that card but was feeling a little more charitable
  4. alot of keepers are useing lurchers its just some of the numptys that spoil for everyone they dont hate all lurcherlads Spot on! If someone comes on my land with a gun and they don't have permission they are poaching......if someone comes on my land with a dog and they don't have permission they are poaching..... Has sweet fa to do with gamekeepers not liking lurcherlads!
  5. Why oh why oh why, do people get so worked up about countryfile? It ain't going to change so just carry on! I go to work on Monday morning and most people I work with don't even watch it! If hunting folk did the same, the bbc would have no viewers of it!!!!
  6. not brilliant but one from the shoot yesterday
  7. Forgot to say those needles are nearly at the end, when fully loaded they are different. I.e bulging with twine.
  8. All 10" needles, the right hand one is the wider one agouti sells along with the hi viz spun poly twine. Will def get one net using the wider needle, but it is a little tighter in the ring to start with. Just slows the first row down a little but no major problem.
  9. Not sure if this is what you wanted as I know you know what they look like.
  10. Glad you have sorted it bud. The other thing it might be as well as the follower, is if the previous owner has dropped them mag and slightly bent one or both of the lips. As with the follower, the reducing pressure on each round might slightly alter the angle the round is presented.
  11. There may be others but I get mine off agouti or eBay when people sell off their old stuff.
  12. Of the needle? If so I will get some up.
  13. I have both sizes of the 10" loomis, both fit through 1" rings fully loaded, although a little tight at first. I can get full net out of the wider of the two needles. 3'6"
  14. The wording in the home office guidance, the document that the police work from, is perfectly clear when it says that there maybe some circumstances that rim fires are suitable for foxes. No where does it say foxes cannot be shot with rimfires! It does however say that applying for a rimfire for the purpose of foxes would not be good enough reason to approve the application. Common sense I think we all agree because there are better calibres out there for the job. What that means is that rimfires can be used without fear of prosecution. Ask yourself this.....does it state on your ticket, th
  15. Out of interest, why are you getting rid of it and why is it brand new and unfired?
  16. The other thing to think about halamrose, is if you do go down any form of compensation route, and you havent indicated that you are, talking from experience you need to do nothing to the rifle now, i.e dont try and remove the heads etc, and commission a gunsmith to carry out a full inspection and report. If you dont do that there are to many other ways the manafacturer can get out of any responsibility. The down side to that, is that the cost of the report may not be worth the value of the rifle, and the cost to try and recoup any money would lie with you unless you were successful. I
  17. Lucky one there halamrose. Not sure what will be causing the feed problems, unless the mag springs are weak, but in theory that shouldnt make that much difference. Obviously a bad batch of ammo, which seems to get reported more and more at the moment although I have never experienced it with Hornady. What has caused the dent in the 3rd cartridge, and the damage to the ballistic tip. That is some force that has damaged that, and the dent is soft rather than hard? I can see there was some force there to seperate the base from the rest of the case, and obviously this was opened up

    SNOW

Hope we do get some..............foxes watch out. Seriously though snow on the hills means serious tracking and seeing what is about, where their lines of drift are, and some good proactive vermin control
