I am sort of in the same postion and what with any terrier i did own being out on loan i am now out of touch with the digging side of life which is a shame really but there you go what makes it worse is the younger lads trying to tell me about how digging is done lol lol lol

Dark and casual really all camo and tweed does is draws attention...And lets face it we are out there to catch quarry not see who`s got the best gear so long as it is warm and dry dont think it matters.... -

So they got a bit of beddy bit of whippet bit of grey bit of bull and a bit of saluki.............. Should be interesting to see how they turn out good luck mate should work ok......

Allrounder??????? So many different views on this it is untrue.... I have a 19" beddy grey bitch and since her pups where born in may i have taken out a lad and been doing a few bits and bobs and there aint nothing he hasn`t seen his pups mum have her mouth around with in reason like feck.... So is she an allrounder answer is who knows i would say she is then the other side of me would so no way far from it..Depends on what way you look at it i think.. Interesting thread hope it stays normal...I cant wait to hear about the wonder dogs out there i love that..... Normality is creeping away

I`ve had a couple of middleton stuff very smart and compact and probably as game as some, not all but some would ever see on this site the line goes back a bit and they were not 100% middleton but very strong middleton blood ran through them very tidy game warriors they was...

Careful clayflint that pups time will come mate...LOL Martin and clayflint the pup was slipped on a rabbit that her mum caught and she caught it so she done very well her litter sister the black one i had that i sadly had to sell through lack of time and already having one out of the litter picked up a rabbit yesterday morning so i`m very pleased all is well with the pups...The two brothers out of the litter killed a cat that was 3 doors away from there home not planned and obviously appolagies went out to the owners who where very understanding chin up lads and be patient next season aint th

P.S Although the animals where shot and wounded at least there suffering wasn`t prolonged and went away injured well done the dog...

Yes like you said blando not the best numbers but the catch ratio was fantastic last night not missing much at all if any real good night to be out...All 3 dog are on the road back to recovery aswell which made it all the better..Beddy cross had a broken tail brindle dislocated her rist and whippet had a dislocatd foot so all in all the cripples done well...

If they are pikeys and you do do there knee caps the ones that i know would come back ten fold trust me pay the money and let things settle then it comes to a time when things can get looked at with out being in the fireing line let things settle is the best way to deal with things patience mate...

Just to say cheers to GOS for putting me in touch with his mate..He`s just been to pick up my bitch pup that sadly has had to go through not having enough time to bring on the two pups met him and his wife lovely people looks like another pup has found a good permanent home thanks to other members on this site cheers again Roy

I always take my pups along earlly very earlly gets them mouthing there future quarry and it also teaches them to be patient i think laying down or even marking up whilst you set the nets great tuition for a very young dog

Yes mate he is coming on sunday hopefuly things go well he has said what he wants and i have told him what i have...no world beater by any ones standard just an honest rabbiting pup from honest rabiting parents cant say more honest than that...

I think any dog that is over faced will give some sign of frustration not nice to keep losing mate...I think it could be personal preferance in this i wouldnt run a dog at 9 months and if i did i would over look missed runs etc and put it down to a novice imature dog...Alot of dogs at the begining of the season can cock up mate even with a few seasons under there belt after the summer rest and not quite having that sharpness that they will have after a few shines out but your dad has probably told you all of this mate no need for me to pipe up good luck and lets keep our fingers crossed the p

have you not thought to yourself mate through you being impatient could put you right back at day dot by your dog picking up some serious vices that would no longer see you running him ie pulling up yapping or something similar all these vices are a serious problem generally caused by impatience and i for one would only blame one person for spoiling a dog...

He is doing very well for a nine month old pup just take your foot of the gas and leave things a bit or he will be getting frustrated aswell as you. Take it steady sounds like the dog will do fine in time just be patient mate..It`s hard when they take shape and look the part when really there still only that little pup just in a cracking type body good luck....
