Never been stuck with any ferrets myself, good luck with the ferrets bud -
Seen some really steady, big ones anything up to £200 per cock

Nice has it bred any mules?
-
Have they even got eyes open at 2 weeks old

I think part of the problem is ferrets getting knackered-i know mine do, so i always take extras and rest the others, they might be too fat or un fit espeachly if they are just kept in standard rabbit hutches or i have always believed small ferrets can take a battering from rabbits and decide they cant be asked anymore.

Could of been rats/mink or something like that down a warren that has had a go at a ferret and put em off?

Depending on my plans of how long the trip will be and how big the sets are i take: 1 spade 60 thick spun nylon and spun poly purse nets. 200 yard Quickset Longnet. Dog, whistle and slip. 1 or 2 light weight ferret boxes + 1 of mates. 5 or 6 of my working ferrets + 1 or 2 of mates ferrets. Folding saws-(from £ shop) 2-3 Mates, depending on the land. Ferret finder and 5 collars aswell as my mates with an extra collar. Knife. Have got a probe but do not often dig if my ferrets kill they tend to move on.

Cut the first few open.

If you decide to jab them leave them in season in clean quaters till about May and then get them jabbed this way they shouldnt need a second jab, i personally use 2 vasectomised hobs.

Its not the SIZE that matters its how you use it
