  1. Unfortunatley the show fraternity have ruined this breed and finding good working lakelands is like hens teeth. They use to be very popular in Eire and i kept a few myself at a time. There are some good terriermen out there who keep the working type going and aren't worried about straight legs and perfect coats.
  2. Tango fella, was down at the show last year and it was a great setting and well run but not meaning too sound like a ungrateful f****r but will the showing be delayed like last year, it started that late that i had too leave half way through. It was a good show and i commend you on your organisation as it takes a lot of time and organising but can the terrier showing begin when the simulated racing is on as most terriermen are not there for the racing.

  7. Well said Fella but i've found that by 15 months you will know what you have especially with black dogs. Some breeds will take longer to start, use to keep lakelands away back ten years ago and it was nearly 20-24months before some of them started as they can be slow but the black dog usually wants it from the off, have to be careful with this though as you will have to make sure you don't spoil him/her too young.
  8. try telling her that! I used an apbt stud only because i couldnt locate a full bred working plummer here in ireland, her previous litter were by a plummer(ballina flynn) and i wanted to try something different. The half siblings were put over each other and i have 4 month pups that nobody could distinguish from a fullbred plummer and are showing all the right signs.I didnt just use any pitbull-searched long and hard ,maybe looked at 20 different studs until i found the one i wanted.Ive had no problems with dog aggression/kennel fights and have had more than 1 to ground at once. if you want t
