  1. you have to watch out for the round tumbleing as it exits the barrel so if you have a mod on you will do damage to the mod as some one else said use your .22lr for the short stuff and the .223 for what its main roll is long range vermin. paul

  8. some of you seem to forget that in certain states of the good old US of A like Texas they behave like this and think nothing of it thankfuly most other states have rules and regs like here in fact in Orange County last may a friend and myself got an invite from an American friend and on the range we were taken to a seperate part of the range we was asked to show the range officer we were apointed that we were safe with fire arms new how to zero and adjust scope and show gun control then on the main range each bay had a concerete wall divider and you were not allowed to move from your bay till

  14. hi i clean my HMR every time i use it ,it is a good habit and satisfying i think and letting it get to dirty a barrel is bad for accuracy on HMRs not only that if you use a mod on your HMR clean it with some powder solvent see what come out then you will answer your own question on cleaning your HMR. paul
  15. if you are handy with some tools ideal for firearms you can do a lot to you own trigger without the expense of after market units most standard triggers beneffit from being striped and lightly stoned to remove roughness i have done all my own triggers on my rifles and past rifles and turned out to be very good after a bit of TLC. its not rocket science but make sure you are up to the job yourself if not it is very easy to kill a trigger. paul

  20. the standard zero you do on your rifle over here in good old blighty is no good for foreign climates you have to re zero also the S&B PM11 they bolt aloft are re presured Schmidt & Bender use some thing other than a nitrogen purge because of scope temp in the tube instead of the normal 3ft water test they do it at 10 ft depth also the british army are using an experiment round at the mo which has been developed by a British firm for the american army. paul
