  1. Found out tonight the old fire pit is dead..but... the new one is ready... lucky have a load of shit hanging around this place! Lol
  2. beat me to the robot analogy, I'd probably argue against the boxing to be honest, there are still some good fights and the "one punch can change it all" is still very much true. But agreed with the higher level of professionalism, the feeling of they are "one of us" a pint and a fag whilst playing snooker/darts and at half time in the changing rooms has certainly gone...boring fuckers! lol
  3. Bang on mate. The Euros were exactly that as well, every player now acts like a robot almost, it's so drilled and "perfect" it's lost its edge. Or we are a bunch of boring old men with rose tinted glasses, one or the other! lol
  4. Great stuff mate, be good to see the boys... perfect bringing the chilli! Pre baiting will commence 10pm.saturday night! Lol
  5. Tight northerner only making a little bit is it?? Lol
  6. I'll bring everything to the comp on Friday, bbq, fire pit, wood, fridge for beers, etc. I can't stay Friday night, but will be there Saturday morning (once hangover has waned! Lol), missing you're chinky Sean, but see you there tomorrow for a brekkie... No Ken this year so no butchers meat, I'll do chicken and pork steaks in some marinade, plus grab a few sausages, burgers etc for Sunday night bbq. If everyone could bring something for the Sunday night that would be great. I'll bring a load of spuds for Saturday night, jacket spuds in the fire pit, will be cheese and beans... i
  7. I think your right mate, Bissaka was never a £50m plus player, he's not a bad player, in fact he's a very good defender, but he looks scared to death when he's got the ball in any space... it is a great signing for the Hammers at that price though...and yes, UTD shafted again!
  8. My thoughts exactly mate.. City are probably the most drilled side we've ever seen, everything is straight off the training ground and executed perfectly on the pitch....but... I find them boring to watch, and have said the same for quite a few seasons now. No doubt Pep is an all time great, but I'm with you, the sheer pace and direct football of those UTD sides and Keegans Newcastle were so much easier on the eye imo..

    London

Took the kids to Wembley last year to watch Blur, their faxes were a picture walking from the car park (we drove up and back), to the ground..." yes kids we are in London not Pakistan" ...lol
  10. Very often kids get guidance from many other sources than there parents, the only reason I got into hunting and fishing was through a chap who worked for my dad, first took me out at 6 abd I swear I was hos shadow until my mid teens, spent as much time with him in the fields as I could...lost my 2nd dad when he passed. Keep it up mate, you are only doing good things

  20. I like that version as we'll mate, the Mad Dog McRae version is my favourite though... paulo Nutini had a go at it as well, didn't pull it off...
  21. My parents ran a pub in Combe Martin, North Devon for 12 years, every year on the may Bank Holiday they had an ancient folk ceremony called The Hunting Of the Earl of Rone... their pub was the "stable" for the 'obby 'orse so they starred and ended the parade there, then drank and sang folk songs all night...it was a full weekend but as old English as you could ever get.. the pub is now flats a cry8ng Shane for a 400 plus year old pub, but the ceremony goes on.. I've not been since the pub ended, I worked the bar for then every year it was on, great nights!
  22. Some English folk, not the original (Richard Thompson), but my favourite version. Sean C off here played this to me at the fishing comp a few years back and its a fave now...
