  1. I don't think anyone likes what's happened to our country in recent times, and would like to see a change ( although I feel it maybe too late now anyway).... but I can't see a vote for the BNP as the way forward...... What would they seriously bring to the table apart from extreme racism?
  2. Well done to the Irish great result,...... Although I'm English born and bred my grandad was Irish still got a load of family around Dundalk it's fair to say I got a soft spot for Ireland.
  3. This is not the most subtle wind up I've ever seen , thats for sure
  4. Sick, and anyone who enjoys that is a c**t in my book, no ifs no buts. Got to agree with you there mate, couldn't find any pleasure in that, plain cruelty alround in my eyes.
  5. Got out for a few hours not great conditions but it was dark so that'll do. The pup had 4 tonight, the first bit of land they were a bit thin on the ground but she finished the night in good fashion with 2 out of the last field the 2nd a real long run down over a hill nearly out of the beam, she managed to turn it along the hedge before she took it well. It was then she really pleased me 1 whistle and she sprinted to within 5 yards from me, I know it's not to hand but this was by far her best retrieve to date, I have struggled a bit on the retrieve with her, she's been fine bringing back ever
  6. I just got in only had 4 rabbits tonight can I count that as a hare and a half please
  7. No, she came close but we were tracking the hob and it bolted on the opposite side. Gave her a good run though, it went flying into another set of brambles but these ones are close to a road so I couldn't enter my hob into them...bugger! we'll get him next time though! Unlucky mate, I enjoy using the terrier to bolt to my lurcher, to be honest we don't catch many like this, but I enjoy watching them work together. My Jrt has caught quite a few in the cover, not as rewarding as seeing a run, but keeps her happy.
  8. If you can get the hob doing that mate there'll be no need for a terrier lol. Nothing is set in stone mate and if it means you get another cuple in the bag with a bit of improvisation then fair play to you.......... by the way did your dog catch the bolter.
  9. 2 weeks ago maybe a 5 last week a 1 I'll keep going. A dog i had as a kid done aything i asked and didn't need training done it himself I reckon........ although we did spend every spare hour together which helps.
  10. Maybe there's an elitist attitude which put's lamping dogs at the bottom, I love lamping always have I love bushing and ferreting I've never been coursing, would love to go ( gone pre ban) I enjoy watching dogs work and each dicipline has it's own things to learn and over come, lamping dogs have to be trained to do their job the same as any other.
  11. Human rights have ruined common sense If you highjack a plane at stanstead airport and hold it to ransom surely you would expect a lengthy jail term, not if you play the human rights card, you get a car, a house a load of cash. If you were so fu*ked up that you shouted your mouth off in protest aimed towards people greiving loved ones from 9/11 or our dead war hero's being driven through wooton basset you would expect to have your head smashed in by a mass crowd of proud englishmen, not a chance you get police protection and freedom of speech. The countries gone now, I argued with
  12. The countries turning to shit I'm afraid, the low lifes are starting to out weigh the decent folk. I fear for my kids future god knows what it's gonna be like in 20 years.
  13. windy..........windy......... where are you
  14. Look these 2 have got a beautiful boy and a beautiful girl and together they are gonna make beautiful babies..... surely thats what this lurcher worlds all about
  15. Got out last night, the winds died here now and it's like daylight, think I'll get me head down tonight and give the pup a rest
  16. Mines 3/4 whip 1/4 beddy and I was worried about this a bit, she would yap a bit in the day when out mooching with my terrier as she was young and couldn't upto the rabbit. I was careful with the runs I picked for her when first lamping her, and ran her a little over the summer on some easy little uns, she's never yapped on the lamp or the day since. I think Malts right too in knowing when to stop they're still young and tiredness can cause frustration, yapping. Hope it turns out alright for you mate.
  17. Cheers for replies lads There was a bit of cloud cover so the moon wasn't too bad, It's mad how one side of the road was dead and the other was lifting, I'll ask the farmer who's land I've got to have a word with the neighbouring farms and put a word in for me. It's ideal for me as it's the closest permission I got only about 1 mile away.
  18. Ive no real idea what to say just wanted to acknowledge your post and wish you/family the best you sound a good man. Cheers mate . can very young kids not get over diabetes if they deal with it properly? No, when they're young it's likely that they have Type 1 diabetes which means they have got a lifetime of injecting insulin to stabilise the glucose levels in the blood, because their pancreas has stopped working. Type 2 is what most over weight people end up with because their Pancreas cannot handle the work load it's having forced on it, and doesn't work as well as i
  19. Spent nearly all of last year on tesco jobs ( and one huge waitrose cold store), now ther's a recession tescos put stores up cause they know they'll get a cheaper price. We do industrial roofing and cladding this was all single ply roofs and fridge panel walls, I had at one point 18 lads running + me and my brother , The firm we were subbing to got knocked and subsequently so did we for 42k. It's put a huge strain on our business we didn't have enough in writing for extras we were pushed to do, and I'm still fighting for it now. With all my heart I want to go into their offices and smash 7 sha
  20. Love those pics lads, I love taking my lad he'll be 6 wednesday, has been ferreting and ratting and lamping once, just wish he would shut up He loves fishing too, he's my mini me. h
  21. That's a quality pup mate, started the season with a bang, nice one
  22. Just got in from a few hours on some new permission, it was shite. The only rabbits I saw was flying for the hedges as soon as the lamp flicked on ( and there wasn't many of them). These are big hilly fields so bloody hard walk too. Next to my permission looked a bit more promising though, being after midnight I had a little look and managed to salvage the night with 4 rabbits, not a big bag I know but at least I can tap the farm next door and see if I can get some permission there too. One field was lifting( she had 2 out of it) but they all headed to a big ground bury that I've had a look
  23. Winds up, cloud cover out tonight
  24. I didn't like to explain what "dogging" meant in English, to you lads, in case you thought I was weird !! LOL !! Cheers. They're gonna think your weird now mate going onto "ozziedoggers" and knowing what it meant
