  1. Hello! Are there any guidelines as to what the police are looking for when passing land for a particular calibre? I am confident the field will be passed for .22LR, but I have no idea what they'll be looking for when it comes to larger calibres (.223 in my case). Don't the same rules apply regarding visibility and backstops etc? What extra must the land provide? I'm only wondering as the shooter must ensure the shot is safe before taking it regardless of calibre, so what difference is there between passing land for .22LR, .223, .243 etc? I was going to phone the FEO but dont
  2. Hello, I am looking into getting an FAC (.22LR for rabbits for food, mainly). I've spoken to a farmer and there is no problem with permission there (this will go on the application). While one permission is great, I'll probably get a few more at some point. However, I've read that I wont get an open ticket straight away, which means I'll need to check if its been approved by the police. 1.) How would I check if a land has been approved and that I can shoot it? 2.) If land has not been approved, how do I go about getting it approved, and does it cost much? Thanks PS
