  5. i get you-ive a blue thing(was supposed to come out a digging dog-but a bit too big)-good guard dog though but a bit idiotic...hes a mix of pitbull ,plummer and patterdale--very like the extinct blue paul--i think the colour must have come from the bull terrier type plummer brought in as his last outcross before he died...he gets the odd rabbit but hes basically a dopey baxstard--dont think hed be suitable for you

  19. id say youre using youre experience with pitbulls and trying to draw up conclusions or rules from that experience that would also work for patterdales..the pitbull is a much older breed or type-and came from various types that had been probably kept pure a long time before they came to your country..some of the men who had a big hand in the formation of the paterdale type are still alive
  20. That's what makes me laugh about mills. Lads think they're a great way of exercising a dog while you have your dinner etc. but to use a mill properly you should walk the dog before putting him on the mill to empty him out (you could damage his kidneys etc. otherwise) and you should walk him after his mill work to cool down. While he's on the mill you've to stand beside him because only a fool would leave a dog on a mill unaided as things can go seriously wrong.Hunting dogs need mental stimulation as well as aerobic exercise and running while looking at a wall is not stimulation. JMHO but terr
