  10. Alright fellas? Just thought I would share my joy this weekend!! On Thursday night I thought I would take the dog for a walk, (6 month old springer) I was thinking about taking the rifle but as it was only early I dint bother. Just as I got to the Fields I let Ole` off the lead, within 2 minutes a young kit hopped out of the brambles about 10ft in front of the dog, now bear in mind this dog has never seen a rabbit before and is usually only interested in his tennis ball or food! As soon as he saw it he was off! got within an inch of the kit and it doubled back like lightning! totally
  11. alright mate? Absolutely made up!! been popping round the local farms this week and whilst all of them were very welcoming and friendly none were really keen. however my mate rang me last night and said a guy he worked with lived next door to a farmer who was absolutely sick of the rabbits on his land and also had a serious pigeon problem, apparently half of his chicken feed goes to the pigeons so hes gettin mega pissed off! music to my ears! cant wait to get there, going early tomorrow morning so fingers crossed will have some pics and a good write up tomorrow :yahoo:
  12. nice shooting mate, good read also. just one question though, who do you ask to get permission in a cemetery? theres a couple near me and i hadnt really thought about anywere other than farms. cheers mate lee
  13. cheers lads! great info as always phantom. Will let you all know how i get on!
  14. i was thinking the same thing, going to sort some out this month, do you think land owners will be more willing to grant permission if I have insurance?
  15. pineapple works, used it on my dog and me mate tried it as well, really helps them break down food in the digestive system. We just put a few pineapple chunks in with the normal feed, worked a treat!
  16. Sweet grouping Suggestions? Pump faster, but not too fast or your seal may get hot go pop like mine did Once your at 100 bar, it will get harder but you just have to keep going and put as much weight on the down stroke as you can. I'm lucky (or not as the case may be) to find putting 190 bar is almost as easy as putting 10 bar in due to my build quantity; Not quality  Another thing, check that the pressure guage and the pressure release screw on the pump are not leaking. My guage is and if I leave it to stand, I do loose pressure *note to self, get a new guage tight
  17. cheers fellas, will give it a go this week and let you know how it goes. Just a quick one on the insurance, is it a one of payment or is it £18 per month or yearly? nice 1 lee
  18. I am going to go around the local area and try to get some permission this week but dont really know which way to approach it so just looking for some advice and what you guys did to get yours. I was considering just knocking on farmers doors but dont know if this is the done thing, should I send a letter first then follow up with a visit? if so how should it be worded? do all farmers see rabbits as pests or just farms that grow crops? should i mention rabbits/rats/pigeons ect or just say "vermin" as ive said before in other post Im new to all this so any info is greatly appreciated. thanks
  19. its a webley raider mate, we got it zerod perfectly yesterday 5 shots and a grouping of around 10mm. only thing is we are using a hand pump and cant seem to get the pressure above 100bar, any suggestions????
  20. i now have a problem! trying to refill the rifle for the first time, using a hand pump and it seems like air is coming back out of the inlet hole on the barrel of the gun, is there something im not doing right? cheers
