Wrong again bill they make great pets I gave a bitch pup 13 years ago to a friend for his daughters 13th she taught it allsorts .An dis in better home than most working terrier homes as she actuly cares about the pup. The daughter grew up with a plummer now left home and is now an adult ..the pup she owned was left with the parents it died last year ..they came back and had another pup and girl has one to ..brilliant . These are not the first many I know have been sold to none working homes and do better. Rehomed working terriers to do sometimes go to pet homes and thay also end up

Not a dodge billy but just to let you see the "definition" ..of a breed. So that you can recognise safely that the breed "status " must have occured sometime after you (amongst others) stopped breeding...and breeders took the future and breeding to type seriuosly. You know it must have been when you when you spat your dummy out becasue we were trying to keep to a standard...others did the same and treid to convice the committe that tris and putys were great for the breed . Precise early date ..impossible IMO...but dare i suggest when the defintion could easly been applied once

Scars dont mean nowt ..i have dosg thta had scars form biting btches when he was trying to line them ...hardley a gauge for a good working terrier I had a small bicth that had worked many foxes after she was 2 years old and only had a few stripes and they were mainly from ratting. She bolted foxes for fun...she was the terrier that made me buy a lurcher instead of a shotgun...for the bolters. Her brother however was bolting foxes at 7months old and it did'nt ruin him neither.

i have a bitch that was an ok worker nothing special but nothing to write home about however at three years old and after having a litter of pups she totaly changed,and is now twice the dog she was in terms of her drive etc.. Must say that has happened here to, have to look into this one , ive also had terriers that were timid natured (due to my breeding) turn around too.

hello poacher3161 its nice to see you getting interested in the history of plummer's,the dogs brian produced back in the day were at least given out to huntsmen to work and promote the breed as a working earth dog,good looking dogs that were easy on the eye,there were certainly more working plummer's about in the right hands,all this rubbish about the evil one (glen) advancing the breed with his exact genetics LOL's has only served to weaken the breed among working dog men,I might add that it is only him that seems to think he has made the breed superior to the stuff Brian produced,imho the ol
