  3. I've posted elsewhere on the Hunting Life Forums for Lost & Found but thought i'd do it again here, if no one minds? My boy was last seen december 23rd down on the east side of the New Forest - Ashurst Bridge/Woodlands way, near Totton. It's feasible he could've made it further west into the Forest. If anyone's down this way and hears or sees anything please pm me. Any information leading to his return will be much appreciated. He's 23" and sandy coloured. scars on the insides of his legs, an irregular white patch on his chest. Slightly darker tail. Cheers All, Merry CHrist

If anyone's down this way could you keep an eye and an ear out and pm if you hear anything. Any help in his return will be most appreciated and honoured Merry Christmas to all

  6. thanks Socks, sounds about right he's 23tts, stubborn and likes running! So i'm guessing they could also throw more one way than another though? There was quite a size difference between the pups i believe. When i'm out most people think he's a whippet but then every so often i'll meet someone who has/had saluki's and see's that in him. He's not got the feathering ok a Sal mind, one lady reckoned she could see it in the shape of his eyes...
  7. I'm trying to get my head around the breeding of my dog... If the dam and sire are grey X whip and Saluki x whip and there's six in the litter what would be the outcome? Would it always be that you'd get the following in varying numbers - grey x whip grey x sal whip x whip whip x whip or is it possible that you might not get one (or more than one...) of those combinations but a purebred grey, whip, sal popping out? Your, Confused

  13. My friend gave me his old Webley Hurricane, it's a bit tatty, but i've given it a good clean and it's looking alright. Trouble is i don't know what ammunition to buy, it's says 22 - 5.6 Cal on the barrel, can anyone recommend what i should be looking for ie. suitable pellets and some friendly helpful shops whom i could give my hard earned cash to? The only pistol i ever had was a very inaccurate GatGun, i've never shot air pistols and know nothing about this model, other than there was also a Webley Tempest. Can anyone fill me in with any background info or personal opinions, what it is an
  14. I bought a leather hand stitching kit from Tandy Leather a while back to try my hand at knocking up a few things, thought i'd share a couple of pictures for you. The first one's for my pup, the second, red one with the lead was for a lady i met whilst out walking the dog. Hope you like them, ATB
  15. "The Greyhound Inn which takes its name from the Sydling Greyhound, a strain of hunting dog bred in the area and featured in the crest of the Wyldbore Smith family today is still an important part of the village community." So says the Pub Walks in Dorset book when reading it the other weekend - thought i'd see if any of you knowledgable people have heard of this line and know anything more about it?
  16. when supergluing - what's the best way of doing things, does it work better for some injuries better than others?
  17. Hi, Out with the dog this morning and he got caught on his neck running/playing with another dog, it looks like it's just the skin that's torn - about the size of a ten pence piece. I've cleaned it out and put in some antibiotic ointment and just left it open for the time being. Any further advice would be good please people? Cheers
