Right mate, regardless of what anyone tels you this is the answer you are looking for: A 12 lt divers bottle marked for filling to 232 bar will hold 2784 litres of air at sea level. Now all you need to know is the capacity of your R10 air cylinder, I think the standard ones are 200cc, which is 200 cubic centimetres, there are 1000cc in 1 litre> So each time you fill your R10 from completely empty(which is never going to happen) you use 1/5th of a litre, now your 12lt dive bottle holds 2784lt of air! so you will get atleast 13 Full fills, however you never shoot till your tanks e

TP is the Test pressure CP is the working pressure so 232 bar. Somewhere on the tank at the top will be the date of manufacture. Basically every 2 years you need to have a visual inspection with certificate/stamp and every 5 years you need a full inspection/pressure test. If you havent got the test tickets, filling centres will not fill it.

Cant you just go out with a qualified stalker who guides you and borrow a rifle under 'the estate rifle condition'? I thought DSC 1 and 2 were professional courses for those wishing to work as stalkers or want to shoot deer on a more regular basis? edit "do you like my new jaunty angled flatcap mate :"

Hahahaha, sounds to me like your going to get screwed on a 'bump in the night' exercise in Scotland mate, However I could be completely wrong and your going to stay in Rothiemurchus Lodge and drink fine malts and live on deer all week. However give my regards to 45 if they wake you up bright and early

Karma is wonderful, its just a shame that sometimes you dont know when it has gone round and that it doesnt give refunds. I have mate, who knows a thing or two.....he says you should contact the police as they have plenty of ciber crime officers now, basically if he put an advert on gunstar, or anywebsite, the server will have logged his IP address and the police can then get the full details of the owner of the IP addy from the ISP, bang and your scum bag is caught and brought to justice, please follow this up as it doesnt matter what money you have lost as it is still fraud and the guy m -
Welcome Liam and nice shooting mate, Great gun the HW80 I had one not so long ago, Top tip - the power has a habit of creeping up on them as time goes by, borrow/buy a chronograph and check it just incase - I part ex mine on an AAs410 and they chronod it in the shop at just under 15ftlbs, it was factory standard and never tweaked since buying it new from Hull Cartridge. Now if I had got caught for whatever reason, even a routine stop whilst out hunting with that, it would have been a firearms offence and not good at all. Enjoy the forums and try to get to one of the Airgun Section mee

Callum if they are on the game list I dont think it matters what you shoot it with,(Im sure someone will correct me if Im wrong) its whether you find it personally ethical sport or not?

Well there have been plenty of swan eaten in the UK, did anyone see that piece in the shooting times about immigrants from eastern block countries going out with fishing rods with trebble hooks baited with bread to catch swans for a nice swan roast! When caught claimed to know nothing about the 'swan law' and were released without charge because they just didnt know they cant kill swans in the UK!

Tony, I have a some power putty I can post to you mate, its the orange stuff that us climbers use to restrengthen our fingers after snapping the pulleys in our fingers When you gently squeeze it the resistance is gentle, but as your fingers repair and get stronger the same lump of power putty gets firmer and firmer and if you try to squeeze the stuff with a fast gripp ots like grabbing a brick! Let me know and Ill post it on mate.

At first I was bemused, then I was not so happy, then I ranted, now I let others rant for me, as its far funnier to see you all get wound up, Now I enjoy his/her posts and its almost as good at the 'its Friday lets hear your jokes threads'.

You can download the triggs410 manual from here Its a great thing is Google You can get slings with adjustable loops so no need to drill the stock, however its much more fun if you google them yourself I have s410 - I drilled the stcok and fitted QD swivels, its not difficult and makes fitting a descent bipod and sling a doddle, Or you can take it to your local gunsmith and they should be able to do it for you for about £35 inc swivels.

Id say, go to your local gun shop and pick a few up and compare them to some other makes. They are supposed to be solid and reliable bits of kit, However I found the ones I tried were very heavy, and the stocks were made for very large hands, they didnt fit me very well (believe me if they did I would gladly pay £100 for them)In short, solid and agricultural shotgun, perhaps my gun dealer only had a few of this type/model, IM sure others will be along to give better advice on different models.

Well it was a glorious day weather wise today, So I headed out to zero this new scope in and have a bit of target practice and then for a bit of a rough shoot. I zeroed at 35yds, then put targets up at 40, 45 and 50 yds to check the drop and how it matched up to the TRX reticle. 40 yds was just between the crosshair and the 1st line. 45 yds was pretty close to/above,the 2nd line 50 yds was pretty close to/above the 3rd line I didnt bother to range out any further as I thought I would have a play with some ballistics software and do some maths to work out the rest of the reticle

Well it was the 1st day of no rain up here, and with a forecast of blue skies and light winds I packed up the van and headed of for a spot of rough shooting. 1st stop was to zero a new scope I had bought for my AA s410, long story short - didnt get on with high powered tactical scope and bought a simple Bushnel Trophy 3-9x40 with a trx reticle, 15mins, job done. I stuck a disc in the CD player of the van, turned up the volume as the might sounds of crow pop music blasted out whilst I hid with my camera 50yds away in some bales. It wasn't long before I was taking some good pictures, 1s

Finally i am back out for a Mooch
markha replied to Dave C's topic in Driven, Walked Up, Rough Shooting
Nice one mate, cant wait to get out soon, all this rain and 70mph winds up here is pants! -
Cheers both, Gurtz the reticle is a TRX which is basically 5 lines below the cross, each line is 3 minutes of angle at 100m, so 1st line is 3 inches, 6, 9 ,12 and 15" at 500m, so I need to just have a tap with the calculator to divide up the distances for air rifle hunting ranges, nothing to difficult. Ill set up some targets at various ranges and zero at 35m and take it from there, then make up a small range card to stick on the scope cover. Happy days.

Well I have been using a Hawke Sidewinder tactical 4.5-14x42 for the past 8 months. Yes its a fantastic bit of kit, all singing and dancing, with adjustable everything. I have had some very good results at long range on paper with this and using the Hawke software for calibrating the mildots etc. I did have some trouble with it losing its zero, however I did a check of all allen bolts and found the rear mount was completely loose! Bad on my part for not checking sooner as part of my maintenance routine. However all this aside its not been the best scope for good old hunting with, its a b
