    i am packing in ferreting and have sold most of my gear but i have saved some of the best till last, i will not split this lot its to much hassle, the price for all of it is £100 collected 1 joiner built tongue and groove double ferret cage 2 2 jill polecats unrelated superb workers 2 years old 3 1 hob polecat unrelated superb worker 2 years old 4 large game bag like new with outside net pocket 5 20 poly spun nets 3 foot 6 each with hard wood pegs hand made by top net maker MICK DADD (all like new most unused) MICK DADD N

    i would be the first to defend them and say they are capable of many things, you know ive hunted them with falcons, had a go at lamping with them, killed deer with them before the ban, gone to watch coursing meetings, etc used them for mooching etc catching pheasants rabbits foxes etc had them up the scottish moorland etc ive ran and owned my own and also being lucky enough to be friends with a few saluki aficionado, stalwarts but in my opinion regarding hunting, and this is a hunting forum, they excel at one, the one they were bred for, the pursuit of game, and the imports i have seen

    i could understand being a pioneer and fetching a saluki back 3500 miles for breeding coursing stock 20 or 30 years ago, but why do it now, when the coursing jobs f@cked and salukis are not in vogue, theres already good saluki/ saluki saturated working dogs here

    think if your just gonna by it off ordinary joe in the street, you might aswell just do the same in your own town the further you go for a saluki doesn't "necessarily" mean its going to do any better back here in the uk either for work or for showing or for breeding

    is it really worth all the hassle, ????? if all you want as an end result is a coursing dog and live in the uk ?????
