a piece from todays papers The reasons why England and Wales voted so convincingly for a Conservative Government on Thursday will be debated forever, but one of the most obvious is the complete rejection of both Labour and Liberal Democrats in any constituency that has a hint of the countryside about it. This is graphically illustrated by the post-election constituency map. Actually, suggesting that the voters rejected those parties is probably the wrong way round. The truth is that those parties have rejected rural voters. In 2015 Labour’s policy offer to the countryside was little more tha

It is a sad state of affairs buddy BUT would you or anyone reading this forum quit for good if you were fined, had a car confiscated,an asbo, dog confiscated etc if found guilty of breaking the hunting legislation laws? Or would it just make you sit back and then change course with your hunting activities? everyone is different fuji, i was brought up on a rough council estate by a drunken father, i got my first custodial sentence in kirklevington detention centre at 16 yrs old followed by going to everthorpe borstal, and then another 11 fairly lengthy prison sentences, when prison was priso

ban or no ban ill still be out every year till i can't walk no more, and breed the odd litter, its no big deal to me, but it be good for future young lads if there was no ban, and this ban is only thin end of the wedge, in years to come they'll want to ban coarse fishing pheasant shooting grouse shooting, and loads more, for those who arnt bothered about this fair enough, just let the antis have there own way
-
i used to course legally with like minded people in coursing clubs on permission with loads of hares, some of the best times I've had, a lot of younger lads say to me "that must have been great" well it was, and nows your chance to push for it to all come back, because a repeal simply means we go back to how hunting with dogs was in 2004 a repeal isn't negotiable or debatable it makes the ban null and void, obsolete whatever you want to call it put simply the ban will be over, if you've got a bit of permission land or join a club then theres no taking dogs off people no taking cars off peopl

same here most of dog men i met or know are good lads and would help anyone, in my eyes antis are just lunatics out for a days bullying, causing trouble, and vandalism, some of them initiating students to come with them for a tenner a day

Fcuking cowards Cocker Seem to remember another favourite was stone throwing at match anglers yeah bang out of order northern lad, the papers and the telly try to make dog lads out as violent all the time, those antis are often worse though
-
just as well cos the ban will never ever be repealed in scotland
-
here you go northern lad A 62-YEAR-OLD disabled angler was threatened by balaclava-clad animal rights protesters brandishing baseball bats and pickaxe handles. Peter Rainbow, from Bassingbourn, was fishing in the River Granta near Harston when around 20 protesters emerged suddenly and began threatening him. Mr Rainbow, who was by himself on the river bank, said: "It was nearly dusk ÂÂ* about 4pm. I heard some banging of drums and I thought at first that someone had their car radio on very loud. "Then there were around 20 people there, all wearing balaclavas and carrying loudhailers.

i know of a couple of stories where "anti angling lunatics" have walked the river banks and threatened lone anglers, and its happened on lakes too, theres been a few mentions of it before in the angling times, and other angling magasines, I've fished all my life, but i am well aware that a lot of people think is cruel and unnecessary,
