  3. hello hare, my dog and my bitch what i bought straight off mike at 6-7 weeks old were not headstrong towards me at all, they loved me to bits and would always be watching me and do what i asked them, they were quiet in the kennel outside, (they do prefer being indoors and near people as opposed to left for long periods outside), although i kept mine outside and mike also keeps them outside, they dont suffer the cold too bad they just crave human company thats all. although mine didnt howl and kick off and be a nuisance, they need a good warm kennel, and a good run each day on top of there
  4. hi, i have been down to mike browns twice, i have a black bitch off him, and a black dog off him, they are both off sooty sam, out of two different bitches, pre ban i entered both on hares, once they were ready, they took a lot of hares as a pair in the daytime, i ran them competitivley with the east of england whippet coursing club and also the east anglia whippet coursing club, they both did very well here against some of the best, mine were like rockets, once that came to an end i lamped rabbits with them single handed, they would take just about every one and retrieve live to hand,
  5. hi mate, cheers if you get one going i would be interested to know, are bull cross types popular at shows these days ? as i mentioned i havent been to any shows for years, ive got a good looking dog though at the mo, wouldnt mind showing him
  6. i havent been to any lurcher shows for about 10 or 12 years, i used to like going to them in the summer its a day out for our lass and the kid aswell, back then i had collie greyhounds and used to show them a bit, now i have a bull greyhound, i seem to remember years ago seeing ads for bull x classes ? (if i remember right) and bull crosses wernt quite as popular then, my question is this do you know of any shows that do bull x classes ( specificaly for this type) or if not, can you just put your dog in smooth dogs over, whatever. and if you can do they ever get picked out these days ? jus
  7. after reading bad reports about the lightforce range, wiring fuses etc, i still decided to go out and buy one, i got the blitz and 20ah battery, and can honestly say i have had no problems at all, it is an awsome lamp, and the dimmer switch on the back makes it very versatile, good for any sized fields large or small, couple this with the red filter and i can hardly be seen
  8. breeze, aye my blue merle bitch was off a red merle dog "rufus"
  9. 23 years back i had a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 bearded collie off him, not a bad dog, but nowt flash really. 19 years back i had a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 border collie off him, again not a bad un but not that good either, both were big ba$t@rds 28inch 70lbs in weight, they looked the part but didnt always give it 100% 15 years back i had a first cross border collie greyhound bitch off him, really good bitch always gave 100% one of the best dogs ive ever known, she was 23", all it wanted to do was work for you, bought them all as pups and kept them all till they died, dont have hancock dogs n
