    Hi mate,you can't really convert lumens & candlepower as they are a mesurement of two different things. Lumens is the mesurement of total light output. Candlepower is the mesurement of light on a given spot at a given distance,if you see what i mean. Some of the LED gun lights can be very good.Ive been using an LED torch for About two years which will give about 400m range with a tight spot.The problem with them is,most of the LED's are a very blue light which is no good in the feild.Really hard to make things out.You need one with a warm tint/colour temp.Which is why i picked the one

    Got to be worth a try.Motors are inductive loads & bulbs are resistive loads so i think it should be ok.Most pwm dimmers seem to whine. Kev.

    As far as im aware,its both ballast & bulb.Also constant on/off dos'nt do HID bulbs any good.Have a look on the candlepowerforum.Someone on there maybe able to tell you for sure. Kev.

    On the farm i live on, plus surrounding permission. It matter a great deal if i cannot go out incase someone calls the police thinking it may be poachers. I have no trouble with 'one for the pot' poachers. But these people are churning up fields in 4X4's and leaving dead deer. Police are patrolling the area's, landowners have sent letters out to residents to tell them to phone police if they see anything suspicious. The way luck works, the poachers will never get caught, but you can bet your bottom dollar, if my dog is chasing a rabbit and a Roe gets up in front, the dog would switch, and i

    It would be down to the amp of the battery against the candle power of the lamp. Your part right.Its not the candle power of the lamp,but the wattage of the bulb & how many amps the buld runs at.If you look on my topics i did a thread on how to workout battery run times if your intrested. As for the original question,a 17ah batt is a 17ah batt.Though you will get better run time from better quality batterys.Other than weight.Lithium batterys take about half the time to charge & you dont get the memory effect with the charger/battery.     Not had mixi on my permision for the last four years.Until now.And it's hit them hard.Hardly a thing about.Had a few mixi rabbits.put them out of thier missery. Makes me mad how people see you on the field & call you for taking rabbits with the dogs.But seem to have no problem with mixi.What a god awful way to kill an animal.

    Hi mate.If your intrested in an LED torch.Id highly recommend the Dereelight DBS V3.Really good piece of kit & a good company to deal with.Been using mine for nearly 2 years now.Had no problems.If you don't like the blue light which you get with a lot of LED's,they do different LED modules which just screw into the reflector.Different modules give different colour tint,size spot,throw,,ect.The only thing with LED's is you don't get rabbits eye's reflecting red,just white.The warm tint LED's are the best one's to go for.More like a normal incan bulb.If your intrested i could try to take so

    Hi mate,welcome to the site. You could also try.As she is coming to you,start to move backwards.Keep doing this until she comes in all the way.Lots of praise or treat when she does.Keep it fun & sessions short.Dont loose your wrag if its not working.Stop & do somethig else.
