Me and my brother went up to my grandparents again for the day, and took the rifles "just in case" anything turned up Was really windy, but a pigeon did land in the tree, we both "snuck" out with the rifles, and my brother successfully missed totally He goes back inside muttering, and as i wait around to empty the rifle another pigeon lands in one of the trees. I take the shot and down it falls, "clean headshot" i think all going good so far until i go to collect it and see a bird running around on the floor. "S**t" i think and start going after it to finish it off, wondering how id me

havent posted for a while so firstly hi again everyone im back with the same old question really, how do i get permission to shoot over farms? ive already got one but its a long way from my house so i cant go often, and there are lots of other people shooting there so its fairly empty of quarry. ive found a few farms closer to me so im thinking of going over tomorrow but not really sure how to ask them. was thinking of having some letters with my details in case they are out, and maybe mentioning the other permission to show i can be trusted. any other ideas? im 16 btw so not sure how ser

hey I can see what people are saying about cheap rifles being a bad option for hunting, but im guessing im not the only person who ended up going for one because of a lack of money. I have found so far that as long as i stay within a range that i am comfortable with, even if that means not taking "easy" shots due to the range issues, then my cometa rifle has done fine (that said, can't wait to be able to afford a better gun) just my opinion, for what its worth chris

I have been shooting with my air rifle for a while now and wanted to try decoying. I ordered 6 online but they wont be here for a week or two and being impatient I went and bought three decoys from a shop near me. I got 2 sillosocks, 1 head down and 1 up, and a plastic shell. Will this be enough for the pigeons, and if so how should I arrange them? Thanks, Chris

after our success on tuesday me and my brother were kinda expecting everything to go quiet again but no today we went to our grandparents again and saw a few pigeons in the hawthorne tree eating berries, but they all flew away when we went out of the house happened a few times so we were both very fustrated, until a young one landed and stayed long enough for my brother to shoot it from about 30 yards and maybe 20 foot up the tree. hes real happy now, thinks hes the new ray mears (even though he left me to butchering again lol) here are our photos: before: and after:

Good lad dont be shoting any racing pigeons lol i wont but you try telling my brother there are pigeons he's not allowed to shoot theres more responsive brick walls than him. hes still buzzing from his shot hes already telling mum shes gonna need a new freezer for all the pigeon meat

me and my brother went to our grandparents today and took the rifles "just in case" any pigeons dropped by. They have a massive hawthorne tree covered in berries and we saw a few in it so we waited where we could see it easily (we had forgotten our camo which probably explains why we saw nothing ) we decided to go for a walk onto the farms across the road (without rifles as we dont have permission there ) saw about 50 pigeons in the fields ready for the local shotgunners to get. when we got back there was one pigeon in the hawthorne tree so we decided to go for it. we "snuck" up to it but som

ive got one of them on my rifle its working well for me BUT all ive tried before was open sights and really low power scopes so ive not really had anything to compare it too so it might be as bad as paulhodge says and i'd have no idea

I've tried a few pellets in my rifle so far RWS Superdomes and H-Points have been the best. Air Arms Diablo Field were good too. Tried some marksman ones but they were really bad some fell straight out the gun and some wouldn't fit in not sure if anyone else has tried these? Have some new ones now because shop ran out of the others, Edgar Brothers, and they seem ok too
