  4. Pinks have been there since beging of October if you knew where to look Hey Big Dev
  5. i have shot a 20ga for 30+yrs and in that time i have shot Hundreds of Geese. if you are planning to go on the Foreshore then i would use Tungsten Matix 3" 1-1/8 or Hevi Shot but these are both Very expenive if you going Inland Remmington 3" 1oz Steel or Saga Steel 7/8oz if you have the ability to shoot Geese in the Head 90% of the time Steel will do a GOOD JOB but to be fair on the Geese let them get WELL in range or use the TM and Hevi Shot ALL THE TIME. Good luck

  14. Hi Bouncer as you probally know you can for a LOT of money buy a dedicated IR lense for a lightforce lamp. when used with a NV unit you can see as though your lamping. A few mate's use a NON LED longe range touch or lamp and cover with IR Perspex job done Animals cannot see nothing. Also a Maglight C-CELL Tourch with a IR Lense at 20ft you cannot see the light but again with NV you can see 250yrds+. If you know where there is some cheap IR Lense let us know please mate cheers
  15. The Blue Tip Hornady was Origanaly loaded in the .17 Mach2 (.22 Rim-Fire necked down to .17) and the Red Tip .17 HMR (.22 WMR necked down to .17) as the .17 Mach2 has not really took of they loaded the Blue Tip into .17 HMR. They are the SAME WEIGHT (17grms) the ONLY Difference being the colour. In the USA they have in the past been White and Orange Tip's. But i have seen that NOW you can get a 20grms V-MAX ???????
  16. Snap Shot, i NEVER insulted you it was YOU who said I WAS THICK. I infact was trying to help Fellow F.A.C an S.A.C as well as your self. Two years ago Local to where i live a Farmer was suffering Sheep lose an Damage (it was Badger an Fox) etc Local no-all "if i see Dog or anything with the Sheep i will shoot it" Saw a dog in with the Sheep, shot it Dead. LOST both his F.A.C an S.G.C an a Hefty fine, also (you are right) the Dog owner was Fined. As for the posting of the Act's perhaps you should READ them AGAIN or better still Talk TO a Firearms Specialist Solicitor (no i cant spell, perhaps t
  17. ITs not my fault your too thick to understand why it needed to be done....yours in shooting... Snap. struck a raw nerve there have we????? well you have showed your true colours by reverting to the above. Perhap's it is indeed "YOU" that should not only read the Law but FULLY understand the Law As i stated i am FULLY aware of Dog's can an do cause horrific damge to live stock, again perhaps you should re-read your post. Really somthing to put on a Forum to be seen by who ever?????? Now i would bet that 100% you broke the Law "FACT". So "PLEASE" dont go shouting your mouth of I AM T
  18. Whilst i am FUULY aware what damage a Dog can do to stock (two friend's within yards of my house are Sheep an Cattle Farmers) That's something to be proud of???????? An Rifle an Shotgun owners like my self wonder WHY we get classed a "MURDERING MORRONS" Did you EVER stop to think 99% of the time it is the OWNERS of the Dogs Fault. if you and your Farmer was so confident of proving it was the Owner of the Dog at Fault why did he NOT get takin to court??????? nar took the easy opion shot the DOG. I WOULD AV TOOK BOTH you AND the FARMER to the cleaner's well thats NOT true my dogs are Trained Gun
  19. VERY good to see for once sensible sound advice given reference .17HMR an Fox's Frontal chest shot can/are good but go left or right a tad and the projectile is down the rib cage or into one of the shoulders, go low an get it right Job done infact to be honest i would rather take this shot than in between the eyes JMHO

  22. So you admit that you shot at a Deer NOT knowing what sex it was ??????? So that comes across as you saw a Deer an shot it. Totally irresponsible, for MANY reasons if you CANT ID the differents between a Fallow Buck an Doe what are you doing walking or sitting in the Country Side with a High Powered Rifle
  23. YOUR RIGHT AGAIN if you have a FAC or walk the WRONG SIDE of the Law OH an i had had a FAC for 36+yrs. Carry on as you know best
  24. NO But you need f.A.C. For ANYTING BIGGER THAN AAA Nonsense, SG & SSG and some of the American sizes are legally available to SGC holders and both are bigger than AAA. Follow the link and look at the price lists and you will find large shot size cartridges: www.justcartridges.com/pricelists.html Slug are FAC only, not sure about LG size shot Also see: www.jonathan-spencer.co.uk/Reference/Guns/Shotgun/Ammo/Shotsize.pdf ANY shotgun Cartridge containing 22 or less Shot you NEED A F.A.C and a good reason to have them. Prhaps you would like to read the Law. SSG 22 Pel
