that's as much a working terrier as Dr Imran Waheed is British!!

gary, if the dog is very young and the real reason you say you used him is because he wont last long can i ask why you consider this a reason to use him. if you intend him to pass on his traits (ie a reason to breed from) why would you actively breed from a dog with an apparently very short working life. surely this would mean that you put alot into breeding and bringing on for minimal use and ability to prove worth. would a dog that has served 8 seasons 2/3 times a week not be more beneficial. it is not a dig at you especially but i have heard folk say this before and have never understood it

f**k kate humble, veggie or not i would smash fern's back doors in.

Definetly after I got some beauties here what do you think of this one? how many of the 7 brace did that one get? you will need to wash it and shine him up before your start on your show tour with wilfred but more importantly hows it bread?

is that Spanish or scottish?

your nowt without specs im not sure what books you read but i think you need to re-read them, unless ofcourse youve been reading books on patts and fells.

milky or heavy vixens chilling out in the sun that have their minds and efforts on other more important things.

there is an interesting point here. i know a few hound kennels that will not use smelling chemicals. dogs that rely on their nose to hunt have ALOT better smell than we do, it may smell nice to us, but what does it do to them.

did a keeper call mike have a pup out of the last litter?

so ignore most of that nonsense mixedbag, they could still be shit not matter how well you train them. hopefully they will make a useful bushing breed for which i assume they are intended. foxhounds are not generally a useful cross for bushing etc and you would be far better using a small type breed with more of a tenacious attitude and stance to suit a good working cocker. the best you can do is put your all into them or get pups from well tested gear doing a similar job to what you intend.

so basically by not being in anyway topical or purposeful in what you write you may as well of posted anywhere as you didnt mean what you say in relation to this mans hound cross as you were not "talking about hounds" and it wasn't related to anything else in the post other than your belief that "Its all about the training". so if he changed the title to poodlexgreatdane it would still be relevant. i think you should get an early night and think about what you write and perhaps if you really belive it. high blood pressure is less of a killer than stupidity and lack of common sense

If you train them right then they'll be good workers, simple. yes they will be trained right Its all about the training. My pal has a yorkie and norfolk terrier and puts them down a warren like ferrets. Its in all dogs somewhere, just takes longer to find and train in some than in others due to their history (ie kc and showponies etc). good luck with the crosses complete shite It has to be a lie in order to be 'complete shite' you numbnut. Seeing as its not a lie, then it can't be 'complete shite'. Anyway, you mustn't over-interpret any post on he

have you alway been a tit are is it something that you are working that .because you are the best at it i just find you amusing.......... your reply was as funny as it was tragic. he didnt mean "walk" your amazing rabbit hounds he ment "walk" asin come away from proper quarry.something you have admitted you know little of so i should of given you more of a chance. end of, dont ruin thread.

id say there's just as many shite patts as there are anything else... and there's lots of shite. i think patts are more popular because all to many folk like a dog to look like it works or looks like its done alot even if it hasent. mainly because these folk dont do much. there are good in every breed, folks should be alot less concerned with type or breed and be more concerned with lineage and how much its been tested and worked(ie not breeding off 11 month old dogs that do rats and rabbits). thats if there really bothered about working abilty over anything else.

rats will often eat the nose and ears of a carcass before much else.
