Someone Who Can Fix My Eclipse Berkshire/hampshire

I would think the trigger is the same as the webley omega.did you have trouble cocking the gun?.if so ,so did I .A bad design .I did a temp fix by bashing a part of the trigger to swell a piece of the metal but it lasted not that long.So to fix the cocking problem ,I had to button the piston[laser glide] so the piston fitted tightly in the cylinder. this helped the trigger to engage when the gun was cocked .I still think the trigger will fail in the future .I bet other people have had this problem .I would not spend to much on gun if I were you . -
Scottish Airgun Licensing, Urgent Help Needed, Please Read
barrywhite replied to prof's topic in General Airgun Discussion
I did sign up ......but god knows how many people did not want MacAskill to release Al Megrahi after killing a plane full of people thats men ,women and children, he did what he wanted stating ,its the Scottish way. MacAskills experts said Megrahi only had short time to live ,that turned out to be three years . I would think a few idiots with air guns filling in an online petition is not going to change his mind one little bit. -
Bsa Ultra Swap For Rws Excalibre ?
barrywhite replied to Jonezy's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I think the gun has a few name ,but it is an fx2000 .I have an fx gun [ not a fx2000 ] that I like .I dont like bsa much .If your gun is shooting correctly ,regulated and 177, that is as good as it gets I feel .If the rws is 22 I would not swop .I would also think the rws is not regulated [not the end of the world] .I suspect the rws has better build quality and looks better .If your gun is operating correctly I may not swap .BUT I DONT LIKE BSA MUCH and a nice shiny fx . -
I think the gun you are on about is a cfx if it is, it is an ok gun for the money .My friend has one from new .The trigger is a bit poor .If you practiced with it a bit you would get over that problem. The gun is accurate and powerful .The front sight is easy to break off. I would be happy to shoot rats and rabbits with the gun .but if you spent a little more you could good get a better gun .a little more accurate because of having ,a better trigger, better build quality, and a bit more weight in a gun .If the cfx is working properly it would be ok ,I would not get one though .

If you were to get a scope with high magnification make sure you can focus it close range .A scope with high magnification that can focus clearly at close range will cost a bit more it seems to me.So if you dont want to spend to much on a scope, a scope with less magnification may be better .What is important is to make sure the scope can focus clearly at close range I feel .I have some high magnification scopes but I tend to set my scopes at 9x when shooting rabbits .high magnification is fun to shoot targets at long ranges you can see your pellet holes .

I would shoot between 150 and 120 bar only [while checking].different pellets .check the front barrel mount has not moved a bit ,mine did once .check moderator is not causing a problem .check the scope is in a good position with the correct eye relief for your mate ,make sure he dosent have to push his head forward or back to get a good sight picture and check the mounts are tight they may have loosened after there fist fixing [a little bit of bedding in]
-
once I was shooting different pellets just messing about nothing serious .I was shooting some dynamic lead free in with lead pellets .I felt that after shooting the lead free pellets and going back to lead pellets my groups with lead got tighter.I only feel this to be true I was shooting an old break barrel at the time and not that bothered.I was thinking the lead free pellets cleaned the barrel a bit ,by scrapping out the excess lead .leaving a little lead ,just the right amount ,in the barrel .The stupid cost of dynamic stop me from experimenting further .......has any one else suspected thi

Smk Qb78 Deluxe Question......
barrywhite replied to PJWmids's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
when you got this 6ftlbs .Was the gun a 177 and was it cold when shot .this will also stop you achieving the ADVERTISED 10 ftlbs .As above a badly made gun that will be improved with new seals, polishing, and new parts if required .may just need a polish and a clean and a new hammer spring . -
Smk Qb78 Deluxe Question......

co2 work different to air .when the co2 reaches a certain pressure it becomes liquid .this pressure changes at different temperatures .So in the cylinder of co2 on the gun ,the gas is at a certain pressure and the rest of the co2 is liquid .When you shoot the gun the co2 pressure drops ,as the gas is released .Then some co2 liquid turns to gas filling the co2 cylinder of the gun to the pressure it was before you shot the gun .this gives shot to shot consistency with co2 but when the temperature changes from day to day the guns power will vary .unlike pcp s as the air pressure changes so does s -
If I had to choose between two older guns bsa airsporter or webley mark3 say, with open sights 177 or 22 I would go 22 .but today with quality accurate scopes and 177 guns shooting with the same power as 22 guns .,unlike in the old bsa or webley 177 9ftlbs 22 10ftlbs .As far as I feel ,the 22 is better for hunting was true once, but not today 177 has the edge at 12 ft lbs .22 works ,I have both caliber but if I had to have one caliber only it would be 177 .

Any Idea What This Rifle Is??
barrywhite replied to smecky's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
That was my first thought also, But back in the day, manufacturers used to copy the best guns so im not sure. atb Phil you feel it may be a quality air gun .The quality gun being the gun relum copied .well that is easy to find out .SMECkY does the gun you have look like it has been made buy a chimp with an axe ?.To be fair when I messed with a telly years ago it has some nice designs .also I mess with a little russian air gun it had some nice designs but both guns were made very bad. -

relum telly is my guess -
http://www.sportsguns.co.uk/airrrf/springers/croos/oppop.html but you may have to mount your scope like this .with four screws in the top of each mount you may be ok .but check your scope dosent move in the scope rings during use .DONT TIGHTEN SCREWS TO MUCH .You have to get the tension just right.
-
http://www.gunstar.co.uk/Air-Rifles/BSA-Mercury-S-gun-for-sale-gs118687.aspx I hope this link works I try to put my rear mount and the scope like this .so the scope cannot move in the scope rings .the rear scope ring and the turrets of the scope touching .if you have more that one position for your rear scope mount with the aresster pin that is better so with more holes in your scope rail you can position your scope with the correct eye relief .I think you will have to use the arrester pin with only one screw in each mount holding the mount to the rail .This is what I do and have
-
ok not so good it is better to have two on the side and four on the top.how many holes for the arrester pin are in your gun, in the scope rail [dove tail] .
-
not sure about your gun exactly but it must be the same as or similar my s400 .there is most likely 1 or 2 allen screws .loosen them and the barrel support should rotate on the air cylinder .adjust it until it is not pushing the front of the barrel left or right .at that position tighten the allen screws
-
I AM not taking piss .mounts with 3 screws are ok on pcp not so good on a spring gun .how many holes are in the top of your dovetail to locate the stop pin
-
is that 4 on the top of each mount and two in the side .or two in the top and two on the side making four alto gether .
