  1. oil ..if the gun is new it may get better ..If it stupid bad then you may be able to polish the parts of the trigger that wear together ,I have never done this to a gun .care must be taken to polish only a little the parts may be just case hardened . On the bsa owners site, impossible to join , there was imfo about doing this , if the gun has a lightning style trigger . where is the safety catch on this gun ? If the safety is in the trigger guard it could be a gamo trigger if the safety is a little wispy thing on the side of the cylinder above the trigger then it is a lightning style trigger
  2. I think there is or was an after market trigger supposed to sort it .Why bother cost and trouble fitting , just learn to love the gamo trigger with the long pull you can get used to it .or is the gun the polaris .. super star ...I think that has a early lightning trigger very hard to pull ,thats it get used to that I think . if it a pcp then no idea I thought bsa pcps are bsa made here.
  3. I think that gun was very over powered and may be they didnt believe his story . my mates new gamo read 12.2 ft lbs with light pellets , its now doing 11.2 after shooting it a bit .A new gun from a shop can be over .
  4. if the gun you want to get is a gas ram .I would say no .
  5. also the second add shows quite clearly it is a girls gun.
  6. 1200 ft per sec not here in the uk .hey the dude is wearing ear defenders when shooting his stowgy maybe that is to stop the quiet shock wave wrecking his ear drums or so he dosent hear the rock music.
  7. by a second hand hw 95 77 97 if you want to save money .One of those a bit banged up would be better than stoogamobsa
  8. I have different scopes none that good ,but I got with a gun a optik 8 32x50 sf ,it has a 30mm tube ,side wheel and a 50mm front lens ,but it has a very small field of view I would compare it to my hawk 2x7x32 air max .The scope is massive , would a quality scope of this spec and size have a better field of view or is it the design .I know this is a cheap scope but not all ways .The scope does work ok but for the size I dont think it is that good .
  9. I would think pellet size would be barrel specific not gun make specific .when making something like a barrel the tools wear out so the size will change if a drill drills a hole on monday and is drilling all week ,the hole it drills on friday night will be a little different .say then monday you start with a new drill but that may be a different size again .the difference is very small .01 of a mm .
  10. hw 100 is very good I have also got a verminator mark 1 that is also very good .the hw 100 is a little better but cost a lot more.
  11. stealth have a safety thing but if you blow it out it is a bit of a problem to fix I dont know of any other guns, it is possible to blow up you gun but you would have to go over quite a bit .some pump up guns have a release valve .
  12. a compressor has to be high pressure not for spray painting or pumping up tyres how did you fill the stealth .any moderator can be used . 25 yards range but if you can hit target at 50 yards it will still do the job ,177 is a bit better at long range .best pellet good quality dome light to middle weight .jsb or any pellets made buy them air arms ,fx ,falcon accuracy plus .they are a soft lead ...a basic pcp is ok but you have to understand it will have a power curve .If hunting with an unregulated pcp like the webley I fill my gun to 150 + bar pressure and shoot until 130 125 bar to stay at th
  13. I have been interested in this gun .but they look complicated .never seen one up for sale in 177
  14. have you had your gun for while ?.ever taken it apart ?. It looks like an interesting gun but a bit complicated? what is the power curve like .would you say it was a good or not so good gun ?I have a vermiator there is a lot of air loss when you screw the bottle on and of.
  15. not sure if you know there is a logan owner site .loguns16.co .uk
  16. I have read maybe .are they semi automatic and if they are they will have a smooth bore to comply with our law . If so has to be a waste of time for hunting .OK if you want to shoot loads of lead at things close up like cans, that might lose it appeal quite soon .
  17. KENNY MACASKILL .........the RIGHT DIRECTION that I might POINT you in is south a few hundred miles .
  18. I go for the fastest pellets then out of the 3 or 4 fast pellets I go for the most accurate one .defiant ,accuracy plus.mosquito express .jsb express ....I will use jsb jumbos out of pcps as well as light pellets .
  19. As has been stated there are much better guns available get a lightning only if it is cheap, local and most important working 100 percent properly .Use a lighter pellet from a spring gun ,also 177 are very good .25 has to be a waste of time .
  20. when I look at the pictures of the gas ram in your gun its similar to the ones that drop into bsa lightnings ,webley omegas and gammos ect .sold by theoben .awt . you may find you can put a spring into your gun you may be better of.
  21. found them very good but mine had falcon accuracy plus written on the tin .22 very good 177 ok may be a little to light , but not to bad ...the skirt is very soft and bends easily you can repair them when bent.get something domed shape , the end of a pen or such and push it into the back of pellet .
  22. air arms ,falcon accuracy plus, mosquito express , are made by jsb all these pellets are similar shape , different weights good quality .If they dont perform well then the problem will be most likely with you or the gun .
  23. If the gun was cheap in 22 and you like 22 get the hw100 , but if you want the gun for ..full time pest control ..I would get a 177 if you have not used 177 you may want to try it .If you have used a 177 and dont like it fine . hw100 is a nice gun better than a theoben mark 1 no power curve and screwing the bottle on and off ..a 22 works 177 works better at 12 ft lbs as far I am concerned .22 is better at close range but the choice yours . I was taking the piss with .25 I have never used .25 I would like to for fun , but I have a catapult it must be similar .
  24. a light 177 will stop a rabbit at 100 yards if you can hit it in the head .So power is not the problem accuracy is . I have used mosquito express with great results I have just got some jsb exact EXPRESS they are the same wight as mosquito express but the pellet has a stronger skirt, the pellet is similar I have shot it a few and may they be better than mosquito express .Dont get lost in power, a 1/2 a ft lbs at 50 yards so what, accuracy with speed is what I go for ...thats what I go for first ,if you want to mortar rabbits go .25 .
  25. the noise the bear trap makes click click click click then clunk when the trigger locks ...I said click clunk ...not ...now then now then clunk click every trip.
