    You do get a background check for shotgun licence!!! and still people with a clean criminal record pass and get a shot gun and shoot people , If people with clean criminal records were prevented from owning a shot gun along with all the other reasons then it would be safer

    then they will have to use catapults ...or do they already making it hard to own and use an air gun will lessen the problem because there will be less air guns there seems to be a lot more air guns than shot guns yet the problems with shot guns and there use seems very high to me and disproportionate to the number of UNLICENSED air guns .Maybe tighter controls of shot guns are needed .When the people who request and receive a shot gun license have to have a back ground check If they have no criminal record some of these people get a license and go on to commit crimes with there legal held

    then every one will be deprived and it will be like round here ..the poor kids can only throw bricks and scaffold poles at the trains ...it got serious one day and news worthy when one of the vandals was see with an air gun

    I have used a ball bearing with lapping paste . I also glued a ball bearing into the end of a piece of tube to get a bit more pressure not to much .lightly rotate the ball bearing in the end of the barrel with lapping paste .I used a standard counter sink to start with not to much ...there are pictures of this on the net or there was some years ago when I did this .I have crowned two barrels with success this way .you will have to work out the size of ball bearing but I used the same for 177 and 22 there may be some ideal size I just grabbed a ball bearing that I thought would work .8.5mm may

    Good link! I was not aware of these and in truth hardly use my old Airsporter anymore, but worth a try when my Vintage Blue Wasps run out! Anyone here actually used them, got a review/verdict? Cheers! I have used them only in a webley omega not sure if the barrel is 5.5 or 5.6 The defiant 5.6 pellets were stupid tight ...so maybe the omega barrel is 5.5 ..

    I have a webley omega 5.6 wasps shoot a lot better than 5.5 ...5.6 shoot ok to bad 5.5 shoot realy realy bad so I tried 5.6 defiants waste of time .super domes seem ok from my old omega

    years ago someone said to me big can do small but small can not do big ,that was for lathes, milling machines, drills ect , but pellets in a gun doing 12 ft lbs small can do big 177 .

    I did see something on ytube once BUT you would have to make sure your gun is not loaded . Put the but of the gun on the floor on the edge of a piece of paper then look down the scope the wrong way .see if the cross hair lines up with the edge of the paper.

    not trying to belittle the injury or the severity of the incident .When I was a child I had a similar injury an older boy threw a piece of hard wood into the air it came back down hitting me giving me a similar wound .We dont know if this incident was deliberate or accidental over shoot due to poor supervision .good ammo for the antis lucky this wasnt a bow or sling shot could have been worse tougher air gun controls will make this more likely .As a child where I grew up sling shots were ilegal but we all had them .On the net now you can see how to build bows and catapults with power and accu

    I have a tx 200 and a 97k I like the 97k more but if I had no gun ether gun would be fine .If a tx 200 was on sale second hand in good condition and close to me that may make my decision on which gun to get .As stated you would have to hold and shoot the gun if you want to be that fussy both guns are fine .....for example I like the long reach of the 97k trigger some people get a custom trigger that is set back to fit on there 97k a waste of time for me .If you are just shooting lots of pellets the tx bear trap is a bit of a pain but the fact that the tx 200 can be decocked and its bear trap

    jsb exact ..exact express ..exact rs . air arms field ..super dome .also your gun is like a bsa lightning I think .So like a lightning the gun may be a bit hold sensitive and have a heavy trigger these thing you will have to take into account when shooting .Also there could be other reasons for in accuracy .

    I have a hw 100 177 got a second hand verminator mark one [ no power adjuster just shoots 12 ftlbs ] with a scope .It is a very good gun . I only fill the gun to 150 bar and shoot. Plenty of consistent shots .the verminator has definitely taken some of the shine of my hw 100 .

    On the air arms sight someone pulled a piece of plastic out of there air cylinder .It was called a depinger or such it was there to make the gun a little more quiet some guns have it some guns dont .The picture of this thing it was a piece of plastic rod with a hole in the middle ,it looked like .some thing like this could be floating in your cylinder .If the gun is holding air and shooting properly .

    looking at the picture .is the piston seal an o ring and a plastic looking thing .if so an o ring can be found and the plastic bit at the front may expand if it is just under size after a few shots .

    I am not sure if you have a nice rest with a long barreled pcp .then the gun is bang on .If you are shooting a bit more free hand then a short barrel .I havent shot long barreled pcp that much a few days here and there but I have a parker hale dragon the gun is a 22 shooting at 10.5 ft lbs it has a very long barrel and can be very accurate somedays . all my pcps at the present are carbine that was not by choice they were available at a good price .I would like a full length 177 s 400 I think it would be an excellent gun.I have more guns than I can shoot so I am in no rush .

    I sip the tinyest bit of a strong spirit drink brandy ect straight out of the bottle , just let the fumes go up my nose down my throat ,drink very little to none .A small bottle will take days to finish, cough medicine can only be taken every 4 hours spirit can be sipped when required .This dosent work for all coughs and colds be sometime it works great .

    All unregulated 12 ft lbs pcp s I have messed with theoben .air arms .fx .stealth but that is a bit strange all have there sweet spot about 150 bar to 125 bar .they are ok 160 to 110 to get more shots .but if you are close to an air supply just fill to 155 bar max .

    if your first rifle is a lightning that will be your first mistake .If the gun is working properly it is a, light, snappy gun with a hard trigger pull this makes the gun had to shoot accurately .It will shoot rabbits no problem but for the cost of a lightning a much better gun is available at the price .I would only get a lightning if it was cheap and working properly .I have shot loads of rats and rabbits with a lightning when I got a 97k I realized what a mug was I.

    my brothers go camping in the lakedistrict .with a bit of a mob from time to time they dont get any trouble .That is all I know there is 22 year age gap I live in London they live in Morecambe .So they must camp nearer Morcambe . no shooting just camping .

    they can be made to work but as the quote says scrap it ....................consuming . In the usa these guns are cheap and powerful [netherlands powerful] here they are a wast of time .Give up now while you still have chance ,the gun will consume you life ...KIDS JUST SAY NO
