  1. put a little silicone grease on the orings of the probe .a little very little and only silicone grease or the special grease for pcp air guns . This may get you out of trouble .you may need new orings on the probe and you can put a little silicone grease on them to stop them wearing in use
  2. the big difference with a spring gun it seem counter intuitive but you have to hold the gun as loose as possible when shooting the gun .I hold the gun only enough as to stop it moving while I pull the trigger .
  3. s400 is the best rifle to start .It will compete with any rifle for accuracy .doesnt have the best shot count but its ok .isnt that quick to load because it doesnt have a mag and it isnt regulated but , these unnecassary things cost money . The s400 is nice to hold , well made not loads of plastic and could also be all the gun you need .
  4. it is a similar gun as a lightning that is a bit jumpy because the gun is light weight .check the gun over a chrono if it is over powered that is your answer but I have had a gun with a massively over powered spring but only over the limit by half a foot pound .That gun smashed a scope .as I cut bits of the spring the guns power went up to 15 ftlbs and I kept cutting bits of the gun until now shoots at 11ft lbs ,and dosent smash the scope . just thought the gun isnt dieseling
  5. I have not had or shot a logun , but if they are fx guns with a different badge I would think they are a nice gun.
  6. one way a spring gun has an advantage over pcp is full power with a light pellet .also if you drag yourself of into the middle of no where and there is not much to shoot or you feel like shooting at targets you do not have to have a pump or a big metal bottle in your pocket .
  7. ...also a pcp is an older design than a modern spring gun
  8. they are different . if you can shoot a spring gun they can be better than a pcp sometime , in different situations .
  9. i am not the sure regulators are the be and end all .you will get more shots out of a gun but if you shoot over the top of the power curve only ,on that gun your lock time is quicker I FEEL with full power and accuracy , I could be wrong .If you wont a regulator in a gun get a hw100 or similar . With the time you have to spend testing the power of your new modded gun and the pellets ect . a hw100 is a very good gun but I dont think it is any better than an unregulated verminator shot only in the power curve ,I have both guns they are both good .
  10. I am guessing a bit here but I would guess an average air gun pellet would have more or less the same power as an average shot gun pellet .So an accurately placed air gun pellet at a close range may be better than a pellet from a shot gun placed at random somewhere in a bird .
  11. I got one for my mates kid ,the reason he is small and young so he could shoot it . the gun is small and eazy to handle for sure but the trigger is terrible .Or the one on the gun I got it is , the spring could be shortened or replaced with a weaker one .The gas is a bit of a problem cost and temperature dependent .......BUT on a warm day the gun is amazingly accurate .If you have money to burn for a bit of fun they are ok ....if you wont a gun to shoot a lot regularly summer and winter dont bother .
  12. I have to agree If the bloke is a problem why bother but if your problem with your neighbour was possibly because of your intransigence in the situation then there is some room to maneuver .
  13. To be fair he did ask ...now he knows and will behave correctly ...it is amazing that someone didnt know you cannot shoot a gun in public using catapults and air guns from a very young age it is second nature to me . but I still feel this is a wind up.
  14. I was unaware there were areas of the uk that had similar traits to those found in the film deliverance .
  15. please remember the lamping ferreter also has a van that he drives at night somewhere in the uk you have been warned .
  16. I am not saying I am correct . as I understand this projectiles leaving your property and going into a neighbours was always a no no but a civil matter called physical invasion or constructive trespass or some such .this was made a criminal offence for air gun only by ..the prudent chancellor while he was our master .
  17. when taking the moderator of be careful the barrel doesent turn round it the action mine did .so I have not taken mine of yet it is tight on the barrel so I will have to clamp the barrel first some how .
  18. Or you could pack a little bit of tin foil or film in one or both of the mounts to twist the scope left or right .has the gun been dropped and something been bent .This doesn,t mean the gun has a problem it may just mean you have the problem you have .Are your mounts bent and over tightened
  19. the public are regularly educated with media .guns are bad people who want one are mad .the sooner the only people with guns are the ruling class and there servants the better .
  20. your gauge may be faulty , temperature has some effect on pressure .If you have a leak that comes and goes it could be the filler valve or the firing valve not always seating properly after use . among other things ....also the o ring that connects the air cylinder to the gun on the hw100 is a bit weak easy to fix
  21. less power more noise a little on a pcp .Accuracy ???
  22. I would think they are like most gamos .The trigger and spring are the same in a lot of them .there is stuff on you tube ect for other gamos .I would think your big problem ,if it is possible to just fit a spring into the gun ,which most probably you can .Is you will have to fit a spring guide .I think a webley hawk has no spring guide but that is not usual .
