  1. I have tried contacting the guy, email, phone and text. NOTHING!
  2. If it were a sheep then yeah fair do's but a dog is different. I had a 5 8 3 8 bull x that i had from 10 weeks lost her to a ditch on a deer course. Was devastated she was a cracking dog. I jacked the day she died and never had a running dog since. He is the first i bought that is why im Pretty gutted i thought nice dog nice price time to start again and i have a pbt bitch if i decide to increase my stock in a couple of years. So yeah my heart played a big part in choosing.I dont consider a running dog live stock but a companion to a sport i love.
  3. Dunno anyone this way only been ere a month
  4. Thanks l1. Seems unfare return the dog to the breeder cos it will only be re sold, my wife wants him checked by the vet and to offer him a pet home here with us. I will discuss it with her further tomorrow and update our decision
  5. I have to agree i have looked and he has starburst pupils im f.in gutted i have thrown cash down the drain, thought he was too nice a pup for the money, serves me right i suppose
  6. I dunno, gonna ring the guy tomorrow. Ive read up about this double merle and im now concerned his eyes may well be an issue too. Gutted
  7. True but a perfectly healthy lurcher can hit a fence flat out its a risk you take with the slip, i will have him on a lead by the road and slip away from roads, i appreciate your views and opinions rio but i think im made up on this one. I like a challenge, i wouldnt dump my little girl if she was deaf id bring her up with slight changes to normal lifestyle as i shall with this pup.
  8. I agree as far as breeding is concerned all too often you see lurchers for sale but i dont think i have the heart to return a deaf dog to a breeder, what sort of future is it likely to get? I think my time will be dedicated to getting him running bunnies, afterall he is a sighthound ill suss his recall somehow.
  9. Yeah i know lol but you have to think ahead, obviously i have alot of work and time before i do any breeding i just dont wanna breed if risk is there. I had a cracking bull x bitch when i was in barnsley that threw shite and she was a great dog and so was the dad i just like to plan ahead.
  10. So if i keep him and he turns out a good dog what use is he for throwing over my bull bitch. Will the pups be deaf i mean?
  11. Its ok i put my other dogs pic on now lol
  12. My appologies i got it off google when i first signed up wanted a pic of a nice running dog i have removed it
  13. Im tempted to put the time in and try running him, just need to find some land later on not been in toddy long
  14. Well he doesnt seem blind and is mustard whilst playing with my bull bitch gonna book at vets for hearing test just wanted a rabbit dog to bring on
  15. The guy assured me collie whippet grey he is merle with iceblue eyes if i knew how to upload on iphone id put pic on
  16. Im convinced he is deaf because he responds to nothing no ear twitches or anything whilst awake and when he was asleep i squeaked a toy and clapped above him and he was sound asleep only woke up to touch.
  17. I today bought a cracking merle collie whippet greyhound pup he was playing well with other pups as you would expect and seemed pretty normal.as pups go very healthy and kept in fantastic conditions. All pups were stunning. Since getting home I have noticed the pup is stone cold deaf. My question is does anyone have experience of running a deaf dog or does anyone think it's worth bringing on, I will be intending on running him daytime only but obviously recall may well be an issue. Any suggestions tips would be greatly appreciated I won't be taking him back to the breeder as he is a cracking p
  18. Dunno if smokey joes is still there mate, daft really cos im 5 minutes from farnworth.
  19. Hi i recently got a young whippet and a 3/4 whippet 1/4 patterdale both run well together and are ready for running on bunnies but i cant find anywhere to run them local to me. does anyone know where in bolton lancs is ideal to start them off Cheers
  20. i have a collie whippet and she is great on rabbits squirrel rat and even moggy, she is only 19 inch tts so a little pocket rocket, i suppose though it depends on the quarry your wanting to what dog to get.
  21. looks fine to me mate atb
  22. Ive been up rivvy once or twice and my path has been crossed by roe but to be honest even if i had had a dog to run em there is no way they could because from what i have seen they are in areas near sheer drops or land you cant run on. loada balls i think, news papers like to dream up stories rather than find the truth. since the ban we have all been outlawed for doing a sport that has been around longer than the government itself.
  23. i wasnt refering to you mate, i was just making a statement, some lads will off load their dogs saying they are 3 outta 3 and infact have never coursed as much as a carrier bag blowing down a field. i personally would get a pup and run it next season, i have a half cross i will not be able to run this season as he aint old enough but i know next season is worth the wait.
