    we dont use lurchers as such there quite rare. we generally need a stronger hound type on lines of rigeback and so on. as you can imagin fences are quite rare round here and you dont have a typical 5-10 min dog over here they need alot more stamina and alot more power. we hunt everything from wild dogs to gazzell even the odd lion. but most things are protected now with game reserves everywhere and poaching over here will have hands cut off if caught but whats life with no risk

    hi ladies/gentleman whats the rules on pics as want to post a little about our sport but bit graphic and not for faint hearted. as alot of dogs die in our sport total different to when used to course the bunnys over homeland uk

    your honest account is enough to steer anyone in their right mind to an effective lurcher so you are taking a uneducated guess. educated in catching rabbits with lurchers and i know a big heavy dog like that wont catch many rabbits and youv just confirmed my doubts by saying 3 rabbits out of 50 or was it yee cant really decide.smells like bull mate tbh 23 ,well its true what they say you cant put a old head on young shoulders...the litter sister to the dog had 23 rabbits in hour odd and he only stopped because he couldnt carry them on his own,and the dog has had 20s before i think h

    all right people used to live in uk in torquay now live in south africa for 15 years. thought i'd join here and speak to people from home land. so hi lads laddies. used to own lurchers and greys now running my stronger pack dogs for lion baiting and buck coursing total different hunting then home land but must say not for faint hearted. thanks for reading joe
