  1. my pup coming up year an a half soon cracking looking dog but in my opinion its far from alaunt. looks a stunning first x but alaunts head would be far stronger and the shoulders would be set alot heavyer. close to the right height but everything else is wrong. but again cracking looking animal
  2. wasnt the alaunt a type of dogs used many years before our time but got faised out. and yeah there probly still is strains of the old alaunt type but just how pure. maybe 5% of your dog if your lucky now can you class 5% an exact type like the old one think not. it would be way way back in the generations. like i said this is my opinion so take it lightly, but didnt plummer just try to recreate the alaunt type. call it a copy. no original alaunt blood used as there is no longer a proper alaunt strain around. so tried to get the closest thing to it
  3. arnt alaunt copy type dogs, are meant to be like mastiff/greyhound over 1st x bull/grey that kind of size. around 100-150lb there a dying type many claim to have an alaunt type but its rubbish. and they should stand around 26-30 tts. thats my understanding but if wrong do apoligise.
  4. to get a dog the most fit he could be you wouldnt have enough time in the day to walk him to get him fit enough. tread mills are very handy but it depends on how much stamina you want the dog to have. a marathan runner or sprinter will generally train all year round but massivly increse a few month before the race. it same for dogs you wont harm your dogs by make them work through tiredness thats were stamina comes from with the mals they do have rest periods but to keep them fit we wouldnt rest them to much otherwise they'l be size of whales. be progressive dont do to much to soon but if you
  5. glad to hear someone admit that you cant base or make an opinion on something you have no experience with much respect mate.
  6. i find with fussy eaters and you want to gain wait feed them on raw meat and as said add an egg also if you can get from the butchers some bones the ribbs are good as they still have some good bits of meat on too give them that as loads of bones slows down the system and gives the dog longer to obsorb the goodness out the food and hardens there stools too. this will ensure she gets the best out of her food, some food it goes in through one end and straight out the other so all that food and goodness is going down the drain
  7. whin if thats aimed i'd be carefull all i speak is the truth i dont pretend to know it all and mals luckly is about the only dog i could call my self an expert on and just happens to be a mal topic you get so many people on this site comment on something they know fuxk all on or assume things which is wrong as you've should have noticed i havnt commented on much on this site because i feel i dont have enough experience in that feild. but whin your brain must almost be popping every topoic you can right an essay on so you must be one hell of a smart bloke fuxk knows where you've had all the tim
  8. yeah it was tough and it wasnt intended it was an unprovoked attack just thankful to the mals. and aint got a clue mate wheres he from. and many a people wants to try and kill a lion but its not that easy and good luck to him with only having a knife as his weapon. why the question if i knew him its very openen theres over 6 billion people on the planet and your asking for one man in percific. odds a little slim dont you think whin
  9. has anyone got one the deerhound/bull without any grey in. i myself would be interested to see one
  10. one thing i would say is a pit is only about jaw strenght mainly. they dont have that much power compared to some other breeds. a mal can take 7-8 times his body weight so i would say if a bear stamped on the bull it would snap as they weigh a stupid weight and yes after i was carted away the one mal who wasnt to badly injured<could just about walk> did track the bear and again before jinny my mate could get the shot had another go on it. but remember say if you got two of the same breed and one is used in a hunting enviroment and the other is just a pet then you wouldnt expect great thi
  11. mate thats the point i was lucky as the mals saved my life if it wasnt for them i would of been dead. i got away with a few flesh wounds the dogs wernt so lucky. just as the bear was ragging me by my arm and nearly crushed it blade got propper stuck in now the bear was ripping chunks out of blade and he carried on till the final blow of the bear at that point ice and storm litterally leaped on the back and neck of the bear and faught it to the point of almost death the bear just managed to limp away in the end the mals slept by my side while my friend went to get help.as i couldnt walk and was
  12. is feeling very tired

  13. also broke my arm in two places thats when blade took the blunt of it and cleverly managed to move him away from us and the bear bite half his side out,ice and storm was ripping chucks out of the bear but also took some damage ice being blinded to one eye and storm lost his tail and walked for the rest of his life with a limp. i'l put some photos up of blade before as got some some where and got a few of ice. like i said true mals are fearless. this is me again after
  14. gets the pics up mate , gotta be better then this 18 pages of guff yeah just got to wait for me wife as for some reason wont let me up load a few of them but i'l start with one of my leg when first done pics not the best as its been scanned onto computer from me pic then cut to size. this was from a one swipe of the paw when he tried to grab me excuse me white legs didnt wear shorts much haha
  15. see theres always going to be the odd one or two theres loads of clips of bull pulling off and if you read my post i spent alot of time in the states where pits are commonly the main dog. pure pits too none of the diluted stuff. from what ive observed yes a pit has got hell lot of bottle and fearless but true mals are even more they had and have to be. now they cant be pure mals as baying is against the breeding a mal hates to bark and once commited they'd die trying. ive seen mals taking on bears before. must of been about 13 years ago me and a friend where hiking his mals came with for prote
  16. just thought id post something i helped write 15 years ago about mals and there heritage for all those people who think there just sled dogs, yes uk type has change slightly to help control the bred but think this might help so here it is The Alaskan Malamute, one of the oldest Arctic sled dogs, was named after the native Inuit tribe called Mahlemuts, who settled along the shores of Kotzebue Sound in the upper western part of Alaska, within the Arctic Circle. Bone and ivory carvings dated to 20,000 years ago show ancient Malamutes almost identical to today's breed. Malamutes babysat the Mahl

  18. the first litter we bred was so me and my boy could have a pup, we sold the rest 100 pound each to freinds,it was going to be the last time she was going to be put to the greyhound( he sold the first litter of pups pure malamutes for 800 hundred each, except to freinds whitch were a bit cheaper) a freind who as had bull xs all is life asked my boy if he would do the same mateing again,my boy said no as he was putting a malamute to her next time.in the end he said he would for 300 hundred pound each, a few days later the man fetched the mony over. 3 was sold before she went to the greyhound. t
