  1. skycat is right mate if she has mastitis she needs treating at the vets ! mastitis is very easy to treat and responds well to most antibiotics if you know what your doing early treatment is the key, the plus side at four weeks the pups will eat and drink so they will be fine, feel the bitch around the nipple the signs your looking for are swelling red in colour hot to the touch, and when felt the bag feel lumpy above the nipple, if you try to squeeze the nipple and blood and shit comes out then its mastitis. hope this helps
  2. Just a photo of my old rabbit dogs long since gone rip
  3. the second video has made my day the dog can catch well, but i would buy those lads instead of the dog any day speed style and they return the catch to hand priceless fair play
  4. Joe while i agree with you in some parts its always best to start slowly, muscles that have not been worked pull and strain easy when put under too much strain. the two week lead and road work is just a gentle warm up and to harden the feet and just strenghten the tendons, i have just got the dog so we are going through the bonding stage and i need to know he can be trusted so far so good, but spending time in close quarters is helping the bonding too win win! i cant wait to try him but he must be right! if i go to the gym after months off and work out hard i am sore for days!!!
  5. As promised taken just a day or 2 of having him
  6. I took a photo a few days after i got him so i can start from there, will add photos tonight and go from then!
  7. Hi mate ive just brought a handcock half bred that not done anything for months in fact the bloke i got him from said hes not been walked in 4 days! He looked alittle fat and no muscle tone. stage 1 worm the dog out just in case then you know its done 2 change of food to gain 28. 3. walking 2 miles road work each day! ( which is where i am at now) for two weeks next will be bike work the same distance two weeks really. by this time the season over but i want to see what this dog can do and these rabbits round here have not be touched yet.

  11. Rights boys new lamp needed i have a culsion blazer light ive had it 20 years there must be somthing better out there now! what are you lot using i like a tight beam
  12. Dont worry too much keep fitting the dog up get it on the button, i feed my dogs morning and night so if i take them out working you feed them when home, running a dog thats had a gut full of food could kill it with a twisted gut or make it do half a job and should never be done, at the age of 7 dogs start slowing down anyhow be it that they get smart or just getting a little long in the tooth. the vets at one stage said that every year your dog is thats 7 in human years 7 x7 =49 how many 49 year old men do you see playing football for 90 minutes not many lol
  13. Hi just been to hancocks he wont have any 5/8 3/8 untill mid summer the new stud dog casanova isnt living up to his name! you could have 1 from stud dog alex which would be 1 16th more greyhound than a half bred which i have gone for. ive seen good half breds and 3/4 breds. as others have said if you want to catch the odd long ear a 3/4 bred will be better but you pay your money and take you chance the most important part is whatever you get you put the time in training the more you put in the better the dog will be The saying of the day ! a bird in the hand craps on the wrist
