  1. Garages running out around here, and there isn't even a strike. Thank the government for causing panic. Suppose it diverts people's thoughts from the budget !! What the drivers earn is not the reason for the public panic buying. If they earned £20,000 a year we would have the same situation.
  2. That is very cheap. However, IMO they should be used as gate, hedge or stop nets. If you have 100% running kill on a net, it will only be operating at 9 feet in length which is too short as a long net.
  3. You only need to single knot spun poly. If using Nylon, you have to double knot it or it will slip loose.
  4. My opinion is the same as The Duncan above. You may want to get out there and bag some game , but without the skill to be accurate over maybe 25-35 yards, you are almost certainly going to injure , and not kill your target, and cause unnecessary suffering. Put in the practice once the gun is sorted, and then go out in the field !!
  5. Thought something was up when they got rid of Fishers Green.
  6. Welcome to THL mate. They'll be singing all night soon but it would be dull without those sounds. Nothing like a nice pigeon breast !!!!!
  7. Still a handy bit of kit though mate. You can always upgrade a bit later on when circumstances allow. Welcome to THL
  8. Good to have you on board mate. Lots of like minded people here. Welcome.
  9. Thanks for all your replies fellas. It has inspired me to give them a fair go, particularly looking through IanB's posts and pictures. I will have to locate some stabilisers for them , or failing that, knock a few up. Having seen the results of the rabbit trapping by Ian, I will certainly be giving the local bunnies some stick later in the year!!
  10. Best wishes mate. Could be the start of something good!
  11. Have been given some Magnum bodygrip 116's, and having not used them before, am wondering what the benefits are , if any , over the Mk6 Fenn trap, which I use regularly for squirrels and the odd rabbit etc. It seems that while the Fenn operates in a horizontal plane and is very stable, the bodygrip when set , is in a vertical plane, with only a small base area, and could be knocked over or moved if brushed against. I know both must be used in tunnels. Any opinions ?
  12. Keep your eye on the For Sale section. You never know!!
  13. Don't let 'em chase you out Hattiemayhem. There are loads of members who will help and support you.

  17. I didn't think the bought sheet netting had the selvedge already on it. Doesn't it have to be added .
  18. They are always inquisitive and will soon get used to you. Can't you just get through the hedge onto the opposite side to them. Failing that, you could just ask them to Mooooooooooooooove !!!
  19. Hello and welcome to the forum. What sort of stuff are you into ?
  20. Welcome to the forum Lewis. You didn't say what sort of gun you have. It's rarely easy to get permissions. Lots of hard work, phone calls , letter writing and good old footwork.
  21. Welcome to the forum mate. It's hard work getting permissions but just keep trying. I'd go for the ferreting first before mentioning the dogs.
  22. Welcome to the forum mate. Sure you'll find loads of useful info here.
  23. Hi Martin. Welcome to the forum. Hope you get somewhere with your request. It's probably worth starting to suss out some possible permissions anyway.
  24. Have you tried the DIY stores.Homebase sell garden poles which are light alloy coated with green plastic, and are about the length and diameter required. I think they are around 40p. Might be worth a look.
  25. Just a musical and song writing genius that won't ever be bettered. Love the songs listed above and don't really have a favourite 'cos for me there has never been a bad song..........they're all brilliant. I remember seeing him in concert over here the first time he switched from acoustic to electric guitar, and the audience just couldn't believe it...........It was almost sacrilege. He was booed on stage but just carried on, and within a couple of songs had won most of them over. A great moment , and he just went on to better and better things. What a performer ! For those that need any lyric
