im just coming up to my last 3 days of incubating my bantam eggs. i was told to 1.keep my temprature at 37.7 2.increase my humidity up to 70% an 3. turn of my automatic turning cradel please could any one insure my this is correct. an does anyone have any tips on increasing my humidity levels up as im filling the bottom tray to the top with water an they wont rise above 42% max. also one last thing do i now shut the vent completely or keep it half open. thanks

the eggs are due to hatch monday so im gonna stop turning them and up the humidity to 70% by adding more water an spraying the eggs from tomorrom on.BUT as im a first timer at this i didnt realise that duck eggs take 28 days so i put them in with the chicken eggs, so when i stop the turning cradel an up the humidity what will happen to the duck eggs. is there anything i can do, thanks again for the positive replys, its been very helpfull

thanks for the reply craig, when you took out the automatic cradel do you just leave the eggs in the bootom were you fill with water or do you just knock of the auto cradel thanks again. im trying to hatch some pekin bantams its the first time ive tried i think its more trial an error to be honest

ok every one just bought a brinsea octagon 20 eco incubator (automatic) ive had the eggs in for 2weeks with temperature levels running at 37.7 and humidity levels running at 38% is it true i need 2 knock off the automatick turning divice at 18 days and increase the humidity levels up to -90%. if this is true how do i increase my humidity levels cause im filling the water tray up most days and it isnt goin above 38% any advice would be appreachated

i asked my girlfriend to get me a sack of dog food from the pet shop but she forgot the name of the dog food i normally use she told the pet shop it was for a workin lurcher and he sold her a sack of red mills racer.the dog is lookin in great condition but it gives him so much energy its drives him absolutely nuts. hes ripping the shed about,an just beeing hypa. now tha i aint working him so much is it the high protien content in the red mills that is doing this to him. and he needs more work to burn up his energy, an the dog is a 20 month weetan/grey x bull/saluki/wippet

i only wanted a bit of advice i use my jill most weekends an shes great i got her at a game fair with my 2 little girls they treat her as a pet i started her working 2 seasons ago she took to it straight away. just needed another one for next season as my kids said they wanted another silver one i will breed mine as for making money from them the ones im left with will be free to good home il be happy not to be stuck with them

ok every one, im thinking of breeding my jill she is a small black eyed silver she is neally 3 yoa im hopeing to keep a jill out of the litter. what would be the best coulor hob to put with her to increase my chances of having some silver colour kits.my mate has a nice little silver hob there i can use but ive been told in the past that you cant breed a silver hob with a silver jill any advice would be much appreciated
