    Has anyone got any experience of making a lure drag machine for terrier racing? either with an electric motor (12v) or bicycle back wheel type?

    according to the berger website they are .224. when i measured them with my cheap micrometer they read .223 but so do my v max which i have no probs with! probably my cheap micrometer. I have solved problem, my neck die was gummed up inside and was on occasion not allowing the internals to compress and release the same ammount every time. Stripped and cleaned and now have consistant neck tension! Cheers.

    I have no idea of the background of her as my misses and kids bought her as a suprise for christmas, i have always had a good idea that she was going to be alright as she is a fiery little bugger!

    I have found the cause of the problem the neck size die which was second hand to me was gummed up inside and appeared to not let the mandrel slide and release every time causing the occasional loose neck. I re did some brass that was loose and now just right! Thanks

    She was awesome! i had nothing to worry about she was straight on the rat as soonas she saw it and chomped it! she is not very big but she certainly goes! thanks for the encouragement lads. She is laid in the sun in the front window now looking like butter wouldn't melt!

    Thats what i thought but i didn't want to ruin her through my inexperience with terriers. I have trained spaniel and labrador and many stages are hold back or you will spoil them.

    I have a 6 month old jack russell, she is a fiesty little devil when revved up, she has ragged a few dead rats that have been caught in snap traps and she tries to get at live rats through the bars of cage traps if she comes across them. Should i let her into areas where i know there are rats yet or should i leave it til she is older?

    I have been loading 35gn V Max for my hornet and using neck sized brass with light crimp with good results. I got som berger varmint HP 30gn to try when i was seating them today i noticed that quite a few were very loose! in that you could easily push them in the neck! i even had one bullet fall out and spill powder as i turned it over:eek: This has never happened with the V Max:D I think i may have to full length resize cases to load the the berger bullets! Anyone else had similar experience?

    Just send a letter with your new address details, you must do this within 7 days of moving. I always get proof of posting at the post office or send letter recorded delivery. Some forces will allow email as you then have a record of informing them.

    The gun has been good, i initially fed it winchester subs but when they started selling the winny subs in the new blue box instead of the old white and orange box i got cycling issues and failures to fire. I now run it on Eley and CCI subs. Join this forum; http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/index.php and follow the advice on guide rod tightening to just finger tight pressure and you will be OK.

    I also have a remington 597 with synthetic stock. I put QD studs in mine, remove the stock from the action first, if you look inside the stock fore end where the stud would naturally go, there is a plastic 'nub' cast into the stock, just drill into this from the underside. Now, when i did mine i had a slight problem in that the nub came away so i just screwed the stud through and put a blob of araldite on the screw from the inside. With regard to the rear stud there is plenty of plastic in the stock to drill into, but again i put a little araldite on the threads as i was screwing it in. Nick

    I want to sell my .22 rimmy and replace it with another .22 rimmy. presume i have to do a one for one but what do i need to do? and will it cost me?

    I went for the Harris tilt as even if you are simply shooting off a truck bonnet the surface is not level!

    I have a cz 527 .22 hornet. I want a bore guide for it. The bolt diameter is .590" the "universal" bore guides are for bolt diameter of .695" to .700". What do you other hornet owners use?????

    This is interesting, i just been to gun shop and handled new .22lr cz 452, savage mk2 and savage thumbhole stainless. the bolt action and trigger were MUCH better/smoother on the savages, as a leftie these two rifle makers appear to be my best options.
